What's going on now 343?

I got my specializations. Finally. But there were difficulties.

  1. It disappeared so I had to re-download them and then they were back.

  2. As many of you may know if you got the specializations you get the Crimson Map Pack for free. That being said. I got the map pack for free. On 12/18/12 I downloaded the 30mb update. When I went to Infinity War Games there was a yield exclamation point next to Crimson Map Pack. I checked my Hard Drive. Not only was my Crimson Map Pack unavailable it said I didn’t have “required” content. I joined other default Infinity games, no problem.

So am I banned from Crimson strictly or what. What’s going on now 343?

Specialization content disappearing is a constant problem. They’ve said they fixed it, but I’m also having the same problem. I assume they are monitoring the situation and are going to fix the problem as soon as they locate the source.

Correction, being sent the Specialization Priority Alpha code does not give you the Crimson Map Pack DLC for free indefinitely.
It gave you a trial as was detailed in some recent updates on the Waypoint Forums. This latest silent update has locked the Crimson DLC for those who did not purchase the War Games Season Pass, or those who did not buy the pack for 800 MSP when it was put on the Marketplace.

Do you still have your Specializations at least?

If you downloaded the map for free, it was meant to disappear today. It was just a Trial. Sort of.

I do have my specs. But I don’t think it was a trial. I was playing last night and I got 2 achievements. How could it be a trial? It makes no sense to me.

A trial in the sense that you got to play the maps, and get achievements, for free, in the hope that you liked the maps so much that you would later purchase them in order to keep playing them later down the track.
I’ve also heard that people are losing their achievements from these three maps. I’m not sure if that’s because they got them through glitches, or because they didn’t buy the maps.

Interesting. still have my achievements. Whatever. Everything okay, I guess. Christmas is right around the corner. Hopefully 343 doesn’t screw up anymore DLC.

Saying it’s a trial their way of covering up a mistake (IMO)
