What's everyone's favorite feature about this game?

Hello,

I’ve seen a lot of complaints. I’ve joined in with many threads voicing my own. I understand why people are unhappy about certain features, but I think the core game itself is very good. And I wanted to talk positively about it. So what’s everyone’s favorite feature if you don’t mind me asking?

Personally it’s hard to say exactly, but I think it’s gotta be the guns. In particular the Needler. It feels threatening but not overpowered. And I think it’s just fun to use. It’s always been one of my favorites since Combat Evolved, and it still is.

I think for me personally it has to be the gameplay as a whole. The game runs so smooth and matches have had such a nice flow to them, most fun I’ve had in a multiplayer game for a long time!

Movement. This is the first Halo in a long time where strafing doesn’t make you feel like you’re stuck in mud, and the base movement speed just makes the game feel fun to run and gun.

Definitely the grapple hook

So far, my favorite feature of Halo Infinite- despite readily namable unsavory ones- is the movement system.

It’s just… perfect. I’ve never lost an engagement due to bad or stiff movement, just to me being an idiot or me being too slow in the head.

Although server latency has made getting around corners and surviving at the same time rather difficult…

My favorite thing is the weapon trials. I don’t think they’re executed well per se, but , it is a really welcome idea because a lot of the weapons do not work/kill in exactly the way you might think, so being able to brush up on the approach for a given gun is really cool.

Where it goes wrong for me is the lack of a sandbox option. It’s only limited to time challenges which is…fine…I guess? If I wanna actually test x damage over y distance or to z body part, it’s not really helpful there.

Still one of my favorite additions to a Halo game. I hope they expand on it.

The level design and the movement. Once you get a feel for the levels, smoothly hitting those shortcuts/flank positions, being able to retreat and get around your enemy, etc. is just so damn satisfying. Doesn’t feel cheap either. I’ve been outgunned, outmaneuvered and outflanked, but every time it felt fair and awesome. Good feel all around.

The Bots. I’ve said Halo has needed bots since Perfect Dark Zero did it. - it’s been that long.
