I’m the type of player who loves to play competitive and raising through the ranks and becoming the best of the best and I would love your suggestions on which game mode is the best to to earn XP!
SWAT is fun. Usually fastish games. Other than that i would recommend firefight.
Matches in ranked play don’t really give that good of XP unfortunately. As Nooga said, Firefight is your best option for it, but it’s a PvE mode, so not much competition. Warzone Assault gives pretty good XP though, if you can find a game.
If you are a competitive player you should try and raise your CSR not your SR. A high SR only means you played a lot of H5. Of course if you want to raise your CSR you need to either play FFA or find some regulars to team up with and played any other ranked 4v4. Your SR is more of a grind. Just play what you enjoy playing and use your XP boost/jackpots and the XP will build. But if you are in a hurry for XP heroic warzone firefight is the best way to grind it out IMO. Good pay outs especially with boost/jackpots and probably the less stressful playlist.
For Arena, Swat doesn’t give a lot, but the games are fast so you can play many games. Infection gives the most per game. With Warzone, either do Assault or Firefight. Regular Warzone is good, but the games can last over 20 minutes.
If you are a competetive player then you wanna raise your CSR (combat skill ranking/competetive skill ranking) not your SR (Spartan rank)
i feel CSR is more rewarding plus it is a better gauge of skill as we all know a lvl 152 (152 is max rank in this game) could be one of the worst players ever and a lvl 50 could be top.

for CSR played ranked arena each playlist will give you a ranking (bronze-diamond all with 6 tiers ex platinum 1, platinum 2 etc. And Onyx which will give you a number ex Onyx 1634 and Champion 1-200 top 200 players in that playlist champion 1 being top. I personally prefer slayer but everyone has their own love.
for SR that’s firefight infection or warzone assault.
I would agree with most people and go with WZFF with difficulty as high as you can handle and still win the majority of the time.

The one requirement however, is that you better gather and stock up on decent REQs for Firefight. Sure you won’t be facing human players, but the rounds can be difficult at times.

Yes. I agree and forgot to say that. If you want an opinion on which reqs I would say ghosts asap. Then scorpions against wardens and wraiths for everything else. Thats basically what I do.
Usually use more lower lvl reqs in assault to build up some higher ones to use in firefight/standard warzone. Keeps a decent flow going.
As most have said, WZFF and SWAT with XP boosts are the way I got to level 150. I am in a race to get to 152 before the release of Halo 6.
WZ FF + Boosts + Playing Good will get you leveled up a relatively decent pace
Firefight and Exp bonuses are an good way to get Exps.
I was shocked at how much xp/rp you can get playing war zone firefight. Just started messing around with it. Was always in arena. Definitely less stress with high payouts if you win.
WZFF or WZ with boosts.
I enjoyed playing WZFF on my way to SR 152. I highly recommend gaming with a crew, it makes games more fun (and go faster)

I found that it’s near impossible (searched for 30 mins before giving up a few days ago) to search solo and find and game, but if you have a large fireteam, mabye around 8 - 12, you can get games in seconds and don’t always match the same people.
Can’t go wrong with WZFF and a boost. If you have any legendary WZ boosts I’d use them on WZFF as well

I would equip XP Jackpots on featured playlists, because somebody correct me if I’m wrong, don’t featured playlists give you double XP?
