people are complaining how there’s a cap and it’s ridiculously low however i’ve had no trouble
i got to level 25 on release day
at level 24 and something xp it did say say i reached the cap however i still got all my xp AND full xp at the end of other spartan ops mission i did later on so maybe i was lucky
honestly level 24 seems like an almost too high cap for release day to me
Considering it only takes like 5 hours to hit the cap is why some people are annoyed, but the biggest problem by far is that the cap eats double exp and finished commendations, essentially punishing people for playing once they hit the cap
well using double xp is your problem then and it’s perfectly fair then, there’s more then just the US in the world but hardly anywhere gets the double XP anyway
you are REWARDED with xp from commendations, not getting a reward is not a punishment, if you was being punished you’d have xp taken away from you
I think the cap is a good idea. We don’t need people rushing their rank when it’s no fun what so ever. What will you do after that?? Exactly. Stop whining.
And to your replies about people playing for 6 hours and needing to go outside; is it really any of your business how someone chooses to spend their free time? If you want to play for an hour or two, that’s fine and you get all the exp you deserve. Why should someone who wants to play all day not get the same treatment?
Remember, it isn’t all no-lifers. Some people work all week then spend the weekend playing their games all day. It shouldn’t be up to anyone to tell them how to spent their day.

Thanks for posting. I needed closure on this issue. I won’t have a problem it seems. Cap seems high enough. I been playing what I consider a LOT since launch and I’m at SL-23. Kids wanna cry becaue they couldn’t use double xp/play for 20hrs straight and rank up like mad. Good for all those double xp trolls. I hope the Monsanto corn was worth it.

It’s punishing because once a commendation happens, it ranks up to a harder to achieve version of itself or is just finished entirely. You’re just missing exp you SHOULD be obtaining and it’s replaced with a harder to get version of itself. It rewards systematic playing rather than actual playing. Strategically stopping at certain points to get max exp doesn’t sound dumb to you? I could play for 10 hours and miss out on 5 commendations, whereas somebody else could play for 5 and the next day finish their commendations and they end up having more exp than I do with less time logged in. How is that fair? That breaks the system it stands for

i tell you you need to fill 5 buckets (commendation levels)
when you fill one bucket i give you a sweet (small bit of xp)
once you fill them all you get something really nice, lets say a sports car (armour unlock)
if you do not get the sweet because you’re a fat little kid and you’ve eaten too many already you are NOT being punished you’re simply not being rewarded
whether you’re a fat little kid or not you’ll still get that sports car at the end

Normally I would agree that leveling up 24 times on release day would be a good place to cap it, but not when thousands of fans around the world have gathered the 200 2XP matches made available through Mt. Dew and Doritos. If 343 wants to Cap how much XP a person can gain then the 2XP campaign should not have happened. I was able to play 40 games (20 after midnight launch and 20 when I got home from working) before I hit the cap using my 2XP.
If the 2XP was not an issue, for the sake of avoiding tedious math lets just say it would have taken around 80 matches to reach SR-24. That could be considered a justifiable cap, but in the end I still feel that a person should not be punished for devoting their time to enjoy the amazing game that 343 has made.
2XP makes the cap to easy to hit, so either get rid of it until the campaign is finished at the end of January, or re-emburst me for all the money I spent on double XP codes.

you haven’t wasted you’re money you still have the double xp you’re simply choosing to use it when it has no effect
you’re literally trying to overfill a bucket of water

The point is that its completely hypocritical to offer Double XP and then Cap the XP and still let the 2XP Matches to be used. I want to play the game, but I don’t want to wast the XP matches, so either I wait for the Cap to reset, which is very inconvenient considering I work full time and have limited windows to play, or I can waste the matches that I paid for. Either way, I and the people in my situation lose and something needs to be done about it.

Exactly, I work two jobs all week one full time and one part time, when the weekend rolls around I’m going to play as much as I want, so yeah if someone works a full week (65 hours in my case) and wants to sit down and play a game for 6+ hours I think that’s perfectly fine. I would rather get all my exp. It really doesn’t bother me if someone beats a game or levels up faster than me.
