People quit every single match. I’m glad you decide to “ban” them for 30 seconds while I have to sit through 10 minutes of an impossible game. More than 5 quits should be a permanent ban.

I agree with a 24 hour ban or some such, but permanent is over the top.

I’ve never been “disconnected.” I doubt anyone is seriously going to get disconnected that many times. Maybe make it more than 5 quits in a 30 day period is a permanent ban from Arena.

1 quit : 30min
2 quits : 2 hours
3 quits : 24 hours
4 quits : 7 days
To counter the internet bug/ console freeze and everything else, the guy has 5 minutes to come back to the game by clicking to " Reconnect " in the main menu.
If he does not join again, banned.
Edit : Ban levels reset every 7 days.

No. A permanent ban should never be enforced. Games now and days are heavily bought for their online content. I believe when a consumer purchases a game that person has the right to access it’s online content. I’ve been banned for 9 mins for quitting 3 games within 2 or 3 hours. I was surprised but didn’t mind. If it was any longer I would have rage hard and make serious attempts to disrupt 343i’s success. It’s the principle, don’t ban me from something I played for. It’s been said but people have lives and most people cannot ignore the world around them for hours throughout the day.
In Warzone for some reason I just get disconnected from the game, I never leave a game even if we are losing badly. If I had the ability to rejoin the game I got disconnected from I totally would.

In what amount of time? If I quit 4 games within a month, once a week, should I be banned for a whole week? Just one quit being banned for half an hour?! That’s ridiculous. I don’t know what CSGO is but I’m glad I’ve never experienced this. God forbid nature calls in the middle of a match. If this is ever implemented in Halo alot of people will stop playing because they’ll be banned for a long time while others will have their joysticks held down with anything so they keep moving in game but are afk. Both these outcomes aren’t ideal.

An online game is a service. You aren’t entitled to that service if you don’t follow the terms of that service. You might as well say “I paid for my car I should be allowed to drive it as fast as I want.”
Of course you would be in here defending quitters, though, as a confessed quitter. Why are you in Arena ruining the game for legit players?

10 minute ban? That means the quitter is back in the game faster than the team he abandoned. This encourages quitting. Bans should be a deterrent, not an encouragement.

I have no problem with banning for quitting IN RANKED PLAY (which is all of arena at the moment but hear me out).
Once they add social playlists, you should be free to come and go as you please because they only effect it has on the other players is that they may lose a game that means absolutely nothing.
In ranked, it should be somewhat harsh. The one proposed is good up to the week ban. One day is a good amount of time, but a week is too long imo. Shouldn’t be more than 48 hours, and the time it has to happen in needs to be reasonable. I shouldn’t be banned for 2 days because I had 4 issues over the course a YEAR. However, if it was over say, a week or two then I would be more OK with it.
At the end of the day, quitting needs to be punished for ranked, but at the same time be sympathetic that -Yoink- happens and that expecting someone to go a week without the game because they had one too things come up in real life is unreasonable.

ive been disconnected 3 times today atleast, and it isnt my fault, my whole console disconnects for some reason that im trying to find out.
It sounds like you got upset because your team quit and left you in the hands of shrek.
I do understand bans need to be bumped up a notch IN ARENA! its fine in warzone, ive been banned twice from arena out of my control. Permanent bans also never should happen in games unless it was tampering.

Lmao no the comparison is inaccurate. I never read a in the term of service that quitting a game a few times would get me banned from it. In the end you’re right. It’s a privilege instead of a right. I believe that needs to change. I’ve confessed to quitting from time to time. Do you seriously have no other obligations? Do things never come up in the middle of a match?

That was the point I was making. For social/unranked, you shouldn’t be banned at all. For ranked, I don’t have a problem with it as long as it’s reasonable (a week for 4 quits/DQ’s?DNF’s) is completely unreasonable.
