Ok so just curious did 343 forget about saying they were gonna give Reach Elites Mix & match armor settings similar to Spartans or is it just on the back burner for now?

More than likely on the back burner for the time being. Getting Season 8 out the door was probably the last big milestone for the year in terms of MCC’s development.
MCC is still going to be getting updates through 2022 so the feature could still be coming to the game at some point.

Way back when the vague statement “extra elite customization options” was said in reference to letting elites use armor effects again, I knew people would misinterpret it as confirmed piece by piece customization.
Don’t know if it’s ever been officially addressed.
No 343 specifically said they were working on Elite mix and match back in like Season 5.

Like I said I remember a vague statement about extra elite customization being added, and this was back in like season 5, before the elites could use armor effects at all like they could in legacy.
I don’t remember them addressing anything specifically about piece by piece elite customization.
I also remember their dev post specifically mentioning mix and matching armor for Elites. Not just “more customization”.
Okay, I guess I’ll trust you guys on this one.
But I can’t find anything.
As the seasons go by I’ve seen MCC blog and MCC news posts disappear from the site. Right now even some more important pages like this one are 404ing.

Hopefully this one is temporary, but I’m wondering if it won’t be since it’s happened before.
If anyone can find a source on this rumor it would be great. I swear there was something that sparked it, but I have no idea. Either way I would consider it to not be happening until it releases.
