There is a topic for what your first Halo game was, feel free to post what that was again, but I wanna know, what year did you start playing Halo? I started playing it in 2008, in July, with Halo 1 on the Xbox after I bought it from Gamestop.
I picked up an Xbox in November 2001 with Halo: Combat Evolved. At the time, I hated FPS games, but this one looked good enough to try out, plus the graphics were groundbreaking at that time. Little did I know that “good enough” wouldn’t begin to describe the Halo franchise.
Since then, I’ve played couch co-op with family, spent countless hours online with friends and foes in Halo 2, took days off work for the launches of Halo 3 and Halo Reach, and finally enjoyed a great console RTS game in Halo Wars. After taking a few years off Halo, I picked up the Master Chief Collection last week for the low price of $27 and the addiction began again. Between MCC on XB1 and getting back into Halo Wars on XB360 (c’mon backwards compatibility!), combined with the announcement of Halo Wars 2 next year… I think we can easily get another 15 years out of the franchise.

2004 with CE, first FPS game i ever played, i remember i was so uncoordinated it too me a few trys to walk over the bridge at the start of halo without falling off haha
2002, my father bought me Halo CE and in 2004 i asked for halo 2 for christmas after playing those two i got extremely excited for halo 3 and it is still my favourite, i will never forget those days playing halo in sandtrap and bloodgulch with my friends :’)

2002! Went over to a friends house and saw him playing Halo CE and it changed my life hahaha

Christmas 2002.Halo CE and Midtown Madness were in the bundle I bought.Naturally Halo blew me away…such a fun game.
Early 2004 when my brother got the xbox with Halo:CE.
2002 the day the Xbox came out in Europe. My dad bought the game and we co-op campaigned the game non stop

My roommate senior year of college introduced me to Xbox and Halo: Reach in 2011. Latecomer to the party, but I’ve been hooked ever since.
I would have played Halo in 2001 if I was born but I started in 2006, a year after I was born.
