What would you want to see appear in halo 4?

One thing that I would like to see in halo 4 is a mission were the Master Chief has to fight off an entire covie army+Scarabs, with nothing but a target locator. Or maybe a mission with a massive tank battle.

For vehicles in halo 4 I would like to see the inclusion of light tanks, a light scorpion tank thats fast(capable of splatters) but still packs a punch(think about comparing the revenants mortar to the wraiths mortar). And adding the locust to the line up of vehicles.

For weapons I would like to see a locust style infantry weapon. It would start out with low DPS then after a few seconds then it would build up until it did much higher DPS. It could also have an overdrive ability that would allow it to do massive amounts of damage, but only for a few seconds and would drain the weapons battery substancially.

What do you think about these ideas and what do you want to see in halo 4?

I want to see missions like Halo 3, especially ‘The Covenant’ and ‘The Ark’, they weren’t ‘tryhard’ action missions, they had a good story and brilliant gameplay to them. You drove mongooses, wraiths, ghosts, hornets, warthogs, scorpions, choppers, prowlers and more in these missions. Truly amazing missions. Also I liked the time of day and setting. They were my favourite missions in any game, ever. I hope 343i can deliver a similar campaign experience to Halo 3’s in all aspects.

Another thing is indoor gameplay which is very important. It’s important not to have all the missions outdoors and to have a good story to the entire campaign. I don’t want to just be going around a bunch of forerunner buildings and structures either. For example: I’d like to walk around the Forward Unto Dawn before it gets blown up or whatever. A large variety in the campaign to make it easily replay-friendly like Halo 3’s campaign.

I also want to see some sort of map like Foundry and Sandtrap dedicated to forge. Forge in Halo 3 was a key part of the high success to the game. There were many maps with a variety of forge pallets on each different map. As well as a totally different environment to forge on. In Halo Reach, all we got was grey, not so nice, objects to forge on and that is why people got bored of the game so fast because custom games weren’t near as good. Yes the tools were better in Halo 3 but definitely not the maps and objects. We need a sandtrap/sandbox (Bright and colourful sand map) with similar vehicles and objects to sandtrap and sandbox and of course - lots of new objects.

I also want 343i to work extremely hard on making good and well thought out maps for custom games, forge and multiplayer matchmaking. I hope there’s a lot of small maps for gametypes like Team Slayer and lots of big maps for gametypes like BTB and Invasion. Maps are a key thing to the multiplayer. We need a variety of different maps and not just a load of forerunner. Maybe even gameplay in space! A lot of maps in Halo Reach were just on forge world made by Bungie, 343i and mostly the community. This turned me off playing a lot of gametypes, I hope it never happens again and that they have enough maps in Halo 4.

They’re my ideas so far :stuck_out_tongue:

Balanced gameplay

Crosses Fingers

A compelling story, balanced gameplay, spectacular graphics, potatoes.

The Chief.

They’ll never balance the game. It will always be too hard or too easy. It must not be fun to people unless it takes 3 clips to kill an enemy. An enemy with 100% accuracy that can kill you with 4 shots.

Some sort of decent ranking system or a separation from social and competitive playlists.
-One of the main reasons I stopped playing Reach was because I didn’t feel like I was accomplishing anything from playing a game. As well, the game has now suffered from the same effect that the CoD series has in which rank means literally nothing. I have started to play Reach again for the past few weeks and have encountered maybe one high rank player that I would actually call good at the game. It gets quite boring getting matched up against really high ranks who look like they are playing the game for the first time. In Halo 3 when I played ranked I at least knew that the people I was playing with and against were around the same skill level as me and it would actually be fun to play a competitive game instead of one side just completely smashing the other.

I would like to see something that all people will enjoy.

I would like to see 343 to start actually talking about the game.

> I would like to see 343 to start actually talking about the game.

It works like this they talk, we complain.
Also if they don’t talk we complain less.

So? It’s better than just not talking at all. I’d like to know a bit about the product I’ll be buying. We know more about Black Ops II and it was JUST announced. Halo 4 has been known to the public for a YEAR.

And you can’t wait and rate?
If the series is well made the next game will be great right?
The longer wait means that there will not be as many bugs.

I would like the Battle Rifle and the Carbine back, more veciles (maby some from halo wars), improved forge, and forerunner weapons and veciles.

It has nothing to do with bugs. I’m just asking that they simply talk about the game. All of the features they have revealed have yet to be discussed in detail so it STILL leaves the community sitting here guessing.

It’s just a tad annoying is all. To see other games get their waves of information. Borderlands 2, here are the classes! New weapon systems! New characters! Hell, here is the plot!

Black Ops II, here is the plot, the change in some of the gametypes, and gameplay as a whole!

Halo 4, hey look! Some more toys are coming out!

To give away a games plot! That’s madness, how will we get surprises? It will become a bland void of madness and boredom!
But on a positive note feeling like you want everything instantly is a human thing.

I guess you weren’t around for Halo 1. The plot was essentially revealed but something as big as the Flood managed to be a great plot twist and was something few people saw coming.

I’m not asking for 100% of the information, which is something you don’t seem to understand. I’m asking for them to talk about the stuff we do know about. For example, they revealed Forerunner Vision but didn’t bother elaborating on it. So all we’re left with is that some people can see through walls.

They revealed it, why not talk about it???

They revealed Halo 1 because it was just starting up.
As for Forerunner Vision, that came from all the complaints on gimme some answers!
Halo 4 is going to be a game filled with mystery so why give answers?

You aren’t understanding what I’m saying so I’ll just leave a nice comparison here:

http://borderlands2.com/us/

vs.

http://halo.xbox.com/en-us/? (which is turning into Toys R Us)

halo mjolnir mix or some variant as well as scarab battles

Don’t worry Viper, I believe after they show off Halo 4 at E3, they will be more open to talk about the new features they are implementing.

I know it’s a little annoying to some but we just got to be patient. At least we know that they will have to release information sometime before release.
