I was wondering what you guys think are cool enemies from the past or from novels or anywhere that would be cool to face in Warzone and if you think they are powerful enough to become a boss, what level would it be?
BOBs from Halo Reach, they will be normal bosses.
I know many people want the return of the missing covenant species like brutes, drones and engineers, but honestly I’d like to see sentinels instead. There could be sentinel squads defending bases at the start, along side crawlers and soldiers, and they could spawn on top of bases or insides large bases like the fortress. If 343 didn’t want to design a sentinel beam weapon, they could have the sentinels die the way they do in halo 4 as a vortex. Lastly, as a boss, they could have enforcer sentinels, the mini-boss like enemies from halo 2. With Cortana taking over all forerunner tech, it would make sense that sentinels and enforcers, which are only set to respond to flood, would join the forces of the “created”. While I won’t pretend I love the turn halo’s story has taken, this seems likes he logical next step for cortana’s army. Heck a halo ring, where sentinels and enforcers are both known to be on, activated in halo 5s legendary ending. If they don’t come in halo 5 hopefully halo 6 will
I swear the amount of “flood” or “brutes” that will show on this thread. To give you my answer thought, I was thinking to compare the Promethean to the covenant, the covenant has Grunts as the low guys, Jackels are slightly higher and can function as snipers or shield support, Elites are their medium level stuff, and Hunters are the big guys, but the Promethean have puppydogs for small, watchers as support, soldiers work as both snipers and the medium and knights are the big guys, however I feel like the Promethean are rather bland honestly warden and watchers is the only one that shows the technology that the forerunners held outside of weapons, they can emp, face laser, void bomb, make hardlight shields, repair armor on the spot. So I would want some type of Promethean that shows off more technology, elaborate enemies, like it could push spartans back and they couldn’t get anywhere near them for a short time sort of like the guilty spark fight, or doing what Ghostbusters told them not to do and cross beams to make them stronger for big explosions (I saw that somewhere). Overall it would be like a glasscannon holding a ton of power but not much health also headshot protection.

I would actually love to see more Promethean vehicles.
Don’t think we need any new enemies, 343i is hard enough to beat… Wait what were we talking about?

Are you trying to say that they don’t listen to fans?
To combine redmarines and nocturns ideas. The sentinels were able to combine in the books if they brought that into the games it would bring back an old enemy unit with a unique twist that none of the other enemies can perform.

Same here but the thread is asking for the drivers of the vehicles instead of the vehicles themselves, Promethean vehicles are slim to none, wheres all their tech

A normal garden variety sentinel is a technological marvel on itself, but it’s not an enemy we should be facing. Sentinels are meant for Flood Containment procedures, not killing Spartans. The Enforcers are for when normal Sentinels cannot handle the containment on their own, and are generally found in quarantine zones scattered across various Forerunner installations like Installation 05, or as some like to call it Delta Halo. While I can admit I do want to see the Enforcers in warzone, I would most likely believe some could want a ‘Guardian’ sentinel, they were meant to be a ‘boss’ in Halo 2, but were taken out of the construction due to time constraints. [Do not confuse them with the ‘Guardians’ in Halo 5.] A boss we could fight instead of the Enforcer of the Guardian could be the Super Sentinel, while being made for Flood Containment, they are possibly dangerous against flesh. In Halo Wars, they were a spawn-able troop token from the Forerunner ‘Sentinel Shop’ they were most effective on infantry and lightly armored vehicles.

I want to see some rogue Forerunners, we know that those who survived the fall of the ecumene left our galaxy, I think it would be cool to see a group return who weren’t all that fond of being allies with anybody.
I love their mannerisms and style. One can only imagine how cool they would be to fight.

I remember hearing about a Forerunner Tank level that got cut from Halo 2. Maybe if 343 brings that concept back from the dead we could see some cool results.

Many Promethean [Forerunner, actually] vehicles are piloted by AI, not a Soldier or an organic life form, although they do have the cockpit space for one I would believe. With the Phaeton, you are literally transferred into digital code and placed inside the vehicle. From what lore says, the vehicles Forerunners had were mainly spacefaring vehicles. The Mantel being the biggest of them all.

Still I’m sure they have a lot more than 1 vehicle that could work on a planet
-
War Sphinx
-
Forerunner Vehicles. Tanks, mechs, all that crazy stuff.
-
More Forerunner constructs like the sentinal but bigger and maybe draw a bit of inspiration from the Necrons. Tomb Spiders, wraiths, scarabs etc. Its all good.
-
Elite Knight class that lore wise is the real Prometheans who are digitised Forerunners who did so voluntarily. Maybe make them focus purely on melee and powerful support abilities as a squad leader type unit.
Also, I know I have a thread open on this but this is concept art from the game and includes loads of Forerunner units and vehicles. But a lot of these units didn’t make it or got changed down the road.
edit: In fact, yeah pretty much everything I would have liked to see is in those pics come think of it.
The reason why I thought of this was because of Memories of Reach and the Skrimishers only appearing in that game. I remember them being very quick, but somewhat easy to kill. Just for there speed. Also Engineers would be cool to see. A bunch of them supporting Tankmaster I think would be neat
Sgt Johnson. I would love to see him as an enemy with two sticks and a rock. He’d be too OP.

I actually thought that the Flood gave the campaign an eerie feel to a lot of the levels in the game. I would personally like to see some Flood infected Covenant with heightened senses and movement.
