Guys I don’t mean to rant but what’s the appeal of firefight?
You kill waves over and over and it’s gets so monotonously dull. I didn’t get it back when Gears first did it and everyone seemed to be excited about it at the time and it has never stopped being exciting for other people.
Is it just something else to do within the same sandbox and a reluctance to just play something else once you’ve experienced all of the main content?
For me , I lile it as its easy to jump into, can attempt better scire, different weapon types and trying to reach higher waves or different difficulty.
Plus can be an easy jump into gametype for a few mates without the hassle of multiplayer or the restrictions of co-op campaign.
But thats just me.
Variety is severely missing. I think an awesome addition to the team slayer playlist would be a veto for BRs-esqu playlist. More variety in the sense that there doesn’t need to be a veto system but have the playlist itself change from AR starts to BR starts every few matches. Or maybe different movement styles from game to game.
Number 1 and most importantly, all previous Halo maps remastered and produced inhouse. No community forge made grayscale. But actual skinned maps by highly talented artists who are on the clock.
Forge, Custom Games Browser & PVE Modes would bring much variety & life into this game.
I do not care about Map remakes, it’s just a waste of time & resources IMO (especially in a time like this.) I still play MCC daily, so I’m not really missing out on anything. It makes me wonder when people demand for maps like Valhallla, the Pit or Midship beeing remade. All of those maps already have countless variations in Halo Infinite.
The thing is, what exactly is meant with remakes? The same map 1:1? I’m clearly against this concept. When forge comes out, these maps will be remade by the community.
A good “remake” or “evolution” of a map in my opinion is Last Resort in H3. It’s basically Zanzibar with slight adjustments here and there (Switches, more space to play)
I’m fine with stuff like this, but 1:1 remakes never deliever a good experience in my eyes. Damnation in CE was a mindblowing experience, Damnation in Reach was awful. Valhalla in H3 is probably one of the most iconic maps, Valhalla in H4 is 16 spartans sprinting in a circle without any teamwork.
