What kind of things would you like to see from SO?
For me, I’d love to play levels that have brilliant set pieces. Remember that Covenant cruiser that flies about you during a mission on Halo 3? Remember the Scarab fight? Remember the bridge cross in Halo 2? Stuff that is genuinely epic is definitely what Spartan Ops needs.
what kind of things would you like to see?
I really feel that 343 should reduce the player max to three only or provide a doubles as a selection when it comes to normal matchmaking for Spartan Ops, until they can fix the netcode.
The fourth player slot unfortunately seems to lag the game to the point of tears, plus it seems to really push the Kill-Race nonsense from Reach.
If you want four players it should be a custom game with friends or Competitive Team runs which I’ll address later.
Total buffs to all the AAs in Spartan OPs. If you selected the Thruster Pack or Jet Pack you need to be on the scale as the Campaign or better.
Palmer’s dialogue needs to be re-written, the character is grating.
They need to stop with the recycled maps. If they needed more time then they should have included Firefight as a goto until they were ready to drop the next set of episodes.
We need some long maps so we can have some speed run fun and we need to be placed in some awe inspiring environments and missions to bolster the interest in Season 2 and beyond.
Lastly there needs to be some sort of network in place for competitive players who really want to play this as a team and can form up and compete against other teams by time, difficulty, and deaths with a Team Leader Boards, so they feel included as well.
Definitely to early to say this but, anyway: i would like something to happen that changes the main Halo campaign, i mean something that will effect the Halo 5 campaign heavily.
So far SO seems to be just a side story just like Halo 3: ODST. I want BIG events, i mean in the main campaign, after the first 2 missions, MC woke up, we know that Cortana is getting rampant, we crash-landed on an unknown Forerunner planet, we had some contacts with the Infinity, we encounter the Knights, we have no idea on why we are fighting the Covenant again…a lot of thing uh? while in SO all we got so far is a mysteryous Forerunner box that ‘eats’ people and energy…
A misson where we use that pelican gunship from the campaign.
More campaign type stuff like fighting the Lich. banshee battles, flying the pelican even ride on the mammoth. I would love for the scarb to return for like the last mission that would be epic.
