i was thinking of the new game types that could be in halo 4 and i came up with a few. 1 of them could be a 1v1 playlist since a lot of people all ways challenge other players to a 1v1 the down side to this of course is boosting the other game type could be in team doubles witch would be firefight versus. i was a bit upset when it wasn’t in any playlist in reach. do you have any ideas of game types in halo 4?
Elimination.
> Elimination.
wasn’t there a game type like that in halo 3 i remember playing it once forgot how it worked though coz i remember getting killed but respawing so how does it work exactly
Some kind of territories with buildings you can spawn in when you captured a building. it would be something like two sided invasion mixed up with territories.
forge fight
each team would have one monitor with a limited budget and can only place certain items, they can also only place items in a specified area, they would be free to fly anywhere though to survey the map, but they can still be killed. when they are killed another person is then selected to be the monitor the next time they respawn
A combo of headhunter and oddball.
The way it would work is the skull will be placed somewhere on the map like oddball.
When a person picks up the skull they gain the following traits: 1. 50% movement speed 2. one hit pummel 3. 150% damage resistance.
There are two ways to earn point: 1. simply hold the ball to earn points or 2. go to one of three random drop points that switches when the skull resets.
Holding the ball will give you more points per skull but hitting one of the drop zones instantly gives you a lump sum. Points are not counted until the player is killed, the skull resets, or when the person hits the drop zone
So lets say that player A. hold the skull for 17 seconds. He/She has just earned the team 17 points. Player B. then kills Player A. and goes to the drop zone earning his team 10 points plus half the time he was holding the skull. So if he/she held the skull for 10 seconds then he/she would earn the team a total of 15 points.
assassin
you get a person or two on the other team and you have to find and kill them
you can also kill other peeps

well still a good idea
Normal Multiplayer
Custom Colours:
This can be any team based game. Players retain their own colours rather than having team colours. An icon above the player denotes which team they are on. It is not to replace Red vs Blue, it is merely an alternative. In this gametype, players will have to be a little more careful as it will be easier to mistake their team mates as enemies.
Ghost Juggernaut:
The Juggernaut has unlimited active camo that remains active throughout the game. He has a radar and unlimited ammo, the other players do not. The active camo, radar and unlimited ammo are his only advantages. All health, speed etc remains the same. To do well the Juggernaut will have to be extra clever to avoid detection and get as many kills. While he hunts the other players, they hunt him.
Ghost Juggernaut Elimination:
Based on the above gametype but each player has a set of lives and once they loose all, they are out of the game. Each player has ten lives, the Juggernaut has 15. In this version of Juggernaut, the Juggernaut is the same player throughout the entire game. Points are awarded to the Juggernaut when he kills an opponent. Multiple points are awarded if another player kills the Juggernaut, the exact number of points will vary depending on the number of players.
Firefight
Basically I want two “new” (but not really) gametypes. One is the ODST firefight where you have a limited number of weapons at a spawn point and it’s a much more “survive against the odds” game. I’d also like the Reach firefights (both with AND without loadouts). Reach’s firefight was good for some mindless and I’d like to see it return alongside a more difficult, survival based firefight.
New Mode
This is something that’s been kick around in my head for a while. It’s a new mode with a few of its own maps (like firefight is to MM). An objective based mode with one small team against a large force of enemies (players can play on this team, similar to Elites in Firefight. The small team could start at a small vehicle base (similar to an elephant) with an array of weapons and eqiupment to choose from. The small team has to capture the larger teams outposts, moving towards a larger base where they have to penetrate the defences and capture the base, winning the game. The larger team would be made up of bots by default but, like Reach Firefight, you could choose to play among their ranks. They could have a few different maps, maybe with different enemies on a couple.

It was only in Halo CE and Halo 2. It’s a FFA slayer game where everyone has one life. It’s not exactly new, but it was interesting because it forces you to play really careful and it leads to intense moments.
Well, from a video I saw on Halo4Follower’s channel, they’re creating a new gametype that caused them to yell with excitement (or something like that). I want that, it sounds fun. No idea what the gametype is specifically though.

sorry, never knew you had that idea as well, I have wanted this since i first played forge in halo 3
Alright. Put simply, this idea came to my friend in a dream.
The basic idea:
It was something like Invasion, but instead of being an attacking or defending team like in Reach, it was both teams going head to head at once. The gametype was essentially like a glorified CTF with some Assault elements.
Details:
A UNSC frigate and Covenant Corvette are floating above this stadium-type map. Spartans spawn in the frigate while blue team/Elites spawn in the Corvette. The frigate and corvette have a working MAC and Glassing Beam and can be used every so often. The gametype is very vehicle based and works around disabling the other ships gun, repairing your own and stealing a data core from the other ship. Players fight in the air, on the ground and inside the ships.
There were also Longswords able to be used by the Spartans.
He called it Cloudbreaker. We were thinking to make a map mockup in Reach but we never got around to it.
Obviously, such a gametype in Halo 4 would need a dedicated map, and assumes the Covenant are still considered enemies.
He even made a diagram:
here
Sounds a lot like the space battles of Battlefront 2, which was brilliant. I really like your idea.

This game type is was in halo CE it was called “classic phantoms”.
except every one was invisible and the next person you needed to kill had a nav marker attached to them. every one had a different person to track down. so you had to watch your back.
best game type ever.
I would also like to see flood in fire fight.
Endless waves of flood was so fun in halo Custom edition.
