What is the deciding factor as to whether or not a game has dedicated servers for online multiplayer? You think all of the top games would have them (Halo and Call of Duty) but strangely the only game I know of that has them is Gears of War, which hasn’t been nearly as successful as these two (as far as I know).
Thing is, I think Halo 4 needs dedicated servers. The lag in this game seems worse than any of the previous games. That, or I’m just having extremely bad luck lately and getting matched with foreigners. I just came out of a session in Regicide where I got treated to one bad host after another. I can’t play Spartan Ops matchmaking at all, the way things are. It’s almost unplayable unless you’re the host in S-OPs.
