I would imagine grappling a Spartan is a melee action, wherein the damage takes effect on contact, I would assume if they do it at the same time it would just do the effect of a melee on each other. To the same effect if two Spartans meleed each other. I dont think there is much of a reason to overthink it.
What would be interesting is to see if grappling someone in the back resulted in a Grapplsassination…

I’m thinking this wouldn’t happen in normal play because I assume there will be one grapple pickup per map. Also, I imagine the grappleshot is projectile based and won’t bend towards a player so it would be pretty tough to land one on a strafing opponent.
Of course in custom games all bets are off.

This would be amazing and I’d buy infinite just for that. But since its a T for Teen game, and not mature…this excellent idea cant happen

Hopefully it turns out to be an M for mature audiences game. Mature Halo games are the best in the franchise afterall

Few more thoughts on grapple.
I don’t think there will be custom lobbies or forge for infinite.
But if it happens
You could make forge grapple maps for obstacle course racing, etc
Custom grappleasassasination maps for grapple/tickle parties.
John 117 can flip tanks. This grapple looks unrealistic, since it has to bear his weight.
What else can be grappled? It better not just be random fusion cores.
I want to grapple grunts. Grunt grapple.
I want to grapple a grunt…hear his screaming and begging as I slowly carry him to a cliff edge and yeet him off it. Or throw it at enemies and random stuff.
What’s the grapple range? Can you grab the flag or bomb with it?
Stun other players with it?
I’m dying to see what grappling animations look like. Does the master chief go like superman in the grapple, or does he just remain totally upright?
These are really important questions
