By pure curiosity , what would you consider to be a good k/d ratio , or just good stats in general .

Does K/D really matter?

No , but I wanted to get a better idea of what a good k/d is to most people .

I’m not too sure but in my book any positive K/D is a good K/D.
Seems subjective. I’ll go with a positive K\D is a good K\D?

Seems fair .
I think that the .6 K/D I got in Halo 3 and Halo Reach is pretty good. That means 60% of the time I win!
At least a 1.0 is good.

Yes, it does, unless you’re a Social Butterfly…

Ummm, try 30%.
A 1.0 means you win about 50% of your battles.
.5 = 25%
.6 = 30%
.7 = 35%
.8 = 40%
.9 = 45%
Sorry to burst your bubble.
1.001 or higher.
1.00 or higher? I don’t care much for stats so this question might be more geared toward competitive players. Like others have said a positive k/d is a good k/d

Or maybe their effort is expended on meaningful things…
I reckon a K.D. around 1.0 is good, that seems to indicate holding your own in a competitive and equal environment.

Also depends on what your playing and who your playing with ! if your talented and have a good server connection above a 2.0 is god and anything more is great
I say anything positive I good. A lot of people on halo 5 (skill wise) concentrate on win/lose ratios but with KD I would just look at if you have more kills than deaths, then you are golden.
Well that also depends on the player’s rank… if someone has a 1.3 K/D and is Gold and another has a 1.3 but is Onyx… purely by the numbers they’re just as good right?
But no, that’s not the case… the Onyx would likely wreck the Gold every time. It depends on the quality of competition you’re facing. The pros go negative against other pros. It’s the nature of the game and skill tiers…
K/D ratio does not mean skill. There’s other factors in the game that contribute to the player’s skill. I’m sure there some pros who goes negative in most of their games.
As long as my K/D is above 1.0 I don’t really care where it is. I don’t care about any of my other stats.
0.8 or above is generally good. You can’t win all battles, and some people are just not very good.
But for myself I need at least 50k/d.

Let me clarify something for you: what I meant by social butterfly, was that they spend their time on the “Social” playlist.
Also, the person asked whether it mattered and I simply answered.
If they spend their time on other things, that’s fine. Either way, you’re either naturally good at something, or you’re just not. You can’t force it.
Oh, and in one of the other comments, i stated that at least a 1.0 is a good K/D.
