I hope it delays because I won’t have enough money to buy it at launch. If it delays into 2022, then I’ll be set.

I rarely play the 360 version of Halo 3 nowadays, but it’s still sad to see it’s online component fade, I was hoping somebody on the forums could organize and end of life session near the end for a bit of fun.
Maybe a New Year’s Eve party? I imagine I’ll be doing the same things I am doing now assuming the world hasn’t ended

Nice! You’re almost halfway there! I’m at rank 146 and just decided to throw in the towel. Considering the grind from 151-152 is the same amount of XP as 1-151 is I decided to just give up. Way too much grinding
Have they shut the servers down early? I’m trying to get the last few 360 halo 3 achievements I need, but when I go to matchmaking it just says " information could not be retrieved from xbox live"
Assuming I am 152 by then I will probably just be playing infinite tbh, not much time for other games nowadays as I will still be going to school in 2022 as well.

The Infinite MP is F2P so you can play that regardless and for the campaign you could always take an Xbox Game Pass trial (still available very cheap) or even short duration full-price subscription to play that at launch for a limited time without eneding to buy outright.
Be sad the legacy games are gone but be happy that we have them on mcc still and we have halo infinite to play.

In a way it is 343 kinda forcing players to buy the new MCC versions if they still want to play the old Halo games.
