i loved playing firefight in reach and i hope that its the same way in halo 5. but do you think 343 will change it at all? I kind of have a feeling that since warzone is in the name, it’ll be 2 teams trying to get points from ai’s. even though that would be awesome i really hope that they don’t change it to much. also will there be bosses, req’s and offline/ custom modes? some please let me know if you have any news.
Like firefight… in warzone
I imagine it’ll be just what one would expect of firefight, but that we can use req cards and loadouts like in warzone
…then palmer will say “We can still destroy the enemy’s boss!” and I’ll roll my eyes forever and ever.
I think it will be different, but I think it will be a good different.

Lol palmer never gives up hope…
Hopefully like ODST firefight.
Part of me suspects it’ll be less a full survival mode and more a progressive co-op challenge, similar to Prison of Elders in Destiny.
So basically, we’ll start at one of the home bases, then we move through the map to fight sets of enemies before fighting a final boss.
Might be interesting if there was a portion that operated like Warzone Assault in which the spartans hold bases and try to keep AI enemies from capturing them, falling back to other bases if they fail.
I have a feeling it will be more akin to a Spartan Ops mission than classic firefight from ODST or Reach.

Like with story and cutscenes? I don’t think sooo
All I can gather from what little information has been given is that it will probably be exactly like previous Firefights but with REQs on modified Warzone maps.

Man, I’d quite like that, but I’d also like a survival mode too, like in ODST and Reach.
If you read the current/known info of WF, you will see that there are no teams. You do not kill other Spartans, but you have no team color assigned. You are your own Spartan, and if other Spartans get eliminated then you do not get kicked too. I just hope and pray that there are no reqs. It’s really hard for me to believe that Firefight could be fun with reqs, and I will not waste any of my reqs on AI’s. I want the classic Firefight, where you fight for powers but on a Warzone map.

What would be the point of Warzone Firefight if there were no REQs? And I think the REQ system fits Firefight very well. Every Firefight has had a sort of progression of gameplay, and leveling up your REQ energy compliments Firefight like peanut butter and jelly.
Only problem I can see is “wasting” your REQs on AI. But at this rate and with the anticipated summer 2016 release date, I think most people will be at the point where they have way more REQs than they know what to do with.

I would like reqs in it but then my commendations wouldnt go up because of lack spartan enemies. I hope for a private mode with friends the most with customizable options.
I’m almost certain it will be nothing like the other FF’s. This one has warzone in the name, so it’ll probably have REQs, online only, can’t solo, no custom settings, and blocked off portions of Warzone maps.
No clue really but I have a feeling cookie cutter garages and armories will be apart of it

Exactly what I’m expecting, which will be very disappointing… then again I guess it’s a good thing to keep expectations low
I don’t think there will be teams, that’s why all the Spartans are their own custom colors. You probably fight enemies the spawn fairly constantly and then bosses will spawn at certain intervals. I assume you’ll get points for AI kills and boss kills and then whoever gets the most at the end wins.
