What will u do if Halo 6 sucks?

I know that people are still feeling disappointed with Halo 5, and I’m feeling that way as well, but this is an issue that I must address. If Halo 6 turns out to be a massive disappointment, what will you do? What do you think Microsoft will do? Will you boycott 343? Play the game anyways? Will, and I know that this sounds drastic as hell, Microsoft put Halo on a long hiatus and then reboot it because of Halo 6’s turn out? I want to know because I’m starting to get scared about Halo’s future.

What will I do? I’ll probably leave the franchise.
What will Microsoft do? Well, it depends on what kind of failure Halo 6 was. If Halo 6 was a financial success but got panned critically, Microsoft would probably not make any major changes. If however, Halo 6 didn’t sell as well as they’d hoped, they’d probably make changes in future installments.
I have a feeling that Halo 6 won’t be the last Halo, unless it is just absolutely terrible on the border of unplayable. Which will probably not be the case. Realistically, I’m thinking the worst case scenario is that Halo 6 will just be mediocre.

I hope not. If Microsoft keeps their grubby little mits off of the story team this time, then Halo 6 might be better than 5 and it’ll be everything that we’ve hoped for. When Halo 6 gets announced at E3, then we’ll have a right to be either hyped or worried as -Yoink-.

See, that’s part of the problem. Halo 5’s hype was legendary. The marketing for it was amazing, despite some disappointing revelations like the loss of splitscreen. And then the final product was not what we were expecting.
When Halo 6 is finally announced, I hope that people will be able to take off their rose-tinted glasses for a moment and remember that teaser trailers, advertisements, and marketing announcements will not necessarily tell us how the game will be. I hope players will be a bit more critical and look deeper into the development process. And I, for one, won’t be pre-ordering Halo 6 no matter how good the trailers are or what pre-order incentives they offer. I will be waiting for critic and fan reviews, and may even rent the game before buying it outright (something I’ve not done before).

Honestly yeah, I’ll play it anyway.

If it sucks from what I see of gameplay videos, I’m probably going to wait to get a used copy or wait until it goes on sale before buying.

The only way I’m going to buy Halo 6 is if they remove sprinting from the game. Halo 6 could still potentially suck even if they remove sprinting. But, at least it would finally mean 343 is interested in making something that plays like an actual Halo game. In that case, I’d give the game the benefit of the doubt.

However, the more likely scenario is that they will keep sprinting in the game and that will be enough for the game to suck, in my eyes. And so, I won’t buy it.

I’m enjoying Halo 5 in spite of it’s issues and while I hope that Halo 6 addresses those (I.E. Has a good variety of game types and social playlists; has a far more engaging story) I won’t know until the time comes. There isn’t any need to be afraid. Halo 5 made money and as long as Halo keeps making money there will be more Halo games. I don’t see the point in fear mongering when you can instead provide feedback. Take your time think about what you want to say and then offer it in the appropriate place.

Ever since Halo 4 I’ve been less enthusiastic about Halo, so if H6 sucks I’ll just pull the plug on my liking of it.

Yeah. Can’t give up Halo.

When Halo 5 was first announced, I was skeptical about it, but when the advertisements went to a whole new level and talked about this awesome and amazing story, a new era for Halo. I ended up pre-ordering Halo 5, that’s going to be the last time I pre-order any game, no matter how good I think it will be.

If Halo 6 turns out to be a failure like Halo 5, or MCC, I will hands down, mark their 3rd strike and leave the Halo franchise.

I will say i hope its not as bad as inifintewarefare

With all the backlash 343 has been getting for H5, im sure that they will try to not disappoint their players this time around.

Keep telling the fanboys that they were wrong and wonder why they continue to defend 343

I think it’s to far to call just yet. I’d hate to leave the franchise though especially coming way back from the CE era. We shall see. I certainly wouldn’t hold my breath on it though.

wait for Halo 7 if Halo 6 sucks

If it sucks I’ll play it for the first month with friends and never play it again.
I wouldn’t be surprised that it sucks or anything, tbh I’m expecting it.
I enjoy Halo 5, I come back to it from time to time. So if Halo 6 is like Halo 5 but with features we all want it should be pretty good.

the same think did when i founded out halo 5 sucked, not play it

If it sucks to ME? Then I’ll abandon it and move onto a different game until the next instalment.

What I won’t be doing is sticking around the Waypoint complaining and ruining the community atmosphere.
