What? When was that. Been playing online since Halo 2 and never entered a doubles game to find 4 teams… Team doubles is 2v2 and 4 teams of 2 is 2v2v2v2 and its kinda chaos. Ranked doubles is 2v2. Nobody wants to play ranked with 4 teams.
Edit: actually 2v2v2v2 is supposed to be called “Multi Team”
Probably a bunch more event/cosmetic stuff tbh. Maybe some more playlist news, if we’re lucky.

Im not suggesting an overkill amount, but there are some pretty staple modes and then experimental modes that people ended up loving like the 1v1. It allows players to play what they’re in the mood for. A good game should have a healthy population. A healthy population reduces the worry of scattering players thin across too many playlists. It boils down to a very simple question with a very apparent answer.
When is the best time to have more playlists?
-at launch when population is at its highest?
Or
-after players drop out because there’s hardly anything to do in the game with a lack of playlists?
Trying to get old players back with new playlists too late runs the risk of spreading the current population thin across the expanding playlists you would be attempting to create. This can cause matters to become worse.
We’ve experienced some of these issues in halo 5. We should have more than what halo 5 had or at least what it did have and learn from the mistakes of that game that were made early into its life cycle. Halo 5 became quite a good game later on and hosted many experimental modes. Mythic slayer settings, 1v1, warzone, anniversary settings and maps, roaming king…look at what we have right now. Its just…man bro there should just be more.
Its a f2p game though. I said it from the beginning that basically stuff We’ve already played in other games witll end up being introduced in seasons…for the sheer sake of making it seem like we’re getting this all new experience when it’s stuff we’ve had in other games. There may be some new stuff…but we can’t pretend 2v2 isn’t something we never had for example. I bring up 2v2 just as an example. Something we’ve had before that isn’t here. It’s not that I specifically love that playlist or anything. Just acknowledging that there are those that did, and imagine how they must feel that they have no idea when they will even get to experience their favorite playlist in the new game they were super excited to play, waiting for its release.
They had how long to make the content for this game? I play the game pretty often. I don’t hate it. I do believe that it’s a very legit feedback concern though. It was pushed to get more playlists and it was given to us. What we got ended up having some flaws…and not a single new map. I’m not asking for forge maps…but man is this really all we’re going to have for the next 5 months or whenever season 2 comes out? It’s stated we got all day 1 maps currently. Does day 1 equate to season 1, as in we have the entirety of maps involved in season 1? Or it just meant day 1, and that there’s still a chance we may get at least 1 additional map during this first season?
I dont feel like it’s asking for too much…it only seems like so much because we’re comparing to what we have now to a substantial list size of things that just basically look like they’re missing. I don’t believe we will get much. It will come when it comes…which to me is just unfortunate. I hate seeing people leaving this game so early. Its halo 5 all over again…halo 5 became this rare gem at the end of its life. I feel like if that game came out with what it had at the end of its life for players at the beginning, with the ranking system fixed as well…man population would have never fell off. They’re supposed to learn from that…but it feels like they didn’t.
Sorry for the long rant. My minds all over the place. I may have typed something wrong. Feel free to clarify anything i may have mixed up or something.
