What type of enviorment will the first mission of Halo 4 be like and how will it play out ? A city,forrest,dessert,water,or just a long endless metal landscape what kind of envirment will we see? Name your opinions below . This is what I imagine .
John is having a dream showing him being taken from his home and growing up on reach .You then see quickly changing Pictures like that of the Halo CEA terminals showing John fighting with Blue team . You then see a quick photo of Reach burning and John starring at the Plannet .You then see photoes in quick Sucession Showing the Events of the First the Games . At the clamax of the Dream you hear Cortana yell the words CHIEF!! You awake from your dream and exit your Cryo pod . You ask "What is it " In a calm yet clamatic sounding Voice .Cortana Tells you that They are being Pulled in to a Massive object . After a brief conversation Chief Grabs his Assult rifle he Placed in Halo 3 then he places Cortana’s Chip in his Head . Cortana mutters " Here we go agian " . Chiefs Ship then Crashes He Grabs One of the Scattered UNSC wepons from the Crash then Heads out to Face the new threat .
Your theory is good, only he cant grab the AR he placed in H3, since it’s probably in flames and covered in tonnes of rubble.
The first mission will be a cutscene like it has been since Halo 2 IMO
I really have no idea…
Maybe they get pulled by something mechanic (forerunner thing) into the planets hole. But then a lost meteor crashes into the forerunner thing that pulls you and breaks.
Now MC falls ontop of branches from trees inside the planet and lands (crashes) on the floor.
MC gets up dizzy and takes a look around and talks with cortana. They see their ship taken away by forerunner things and the the hole close.
MC walks through the jungle to find out where he is and then hears some noises. Cortana says “Chief! Look!” And MC sees the new enemy that hasn’t spotted MC yet!

As the Forward Until Dawn is spiraling at a fast rate into this shield world.
As it hits the opening, Due to the no gravity upon first entering, the fire is extinguish.
Fragments of unknown objects and wreckage from a unknown craft floating past the Forward Until Dawn. As it get closer till impact, Cortana say “Chief Brace For Impact!”
With the nod of his helmet, the camera shift to Master Chief gold plating visor and the reflection of the ground coming closer and closer, closer, closer… Black.
It all becomes black. Just sounds, the sounds of explosion, wind, etc around him.
Within seconds his vision comes back gradually to finally his vision becoming clearer yet blurry to a silhouette of a large being.
Then out of nowhere. HALO 4 in bold letters.

I could picture this, this would be pretty epic.
I’d imagine the first mission to be a vast, open, lush environment with a bunch of mysterious structures in the distance. For a bit, there would be no visible threat, like on Winter Contingency, and then some Sentinels would appear, but not like the ones we’ve seen in the game, but like on Onyx or somethin different, and to defeat them, you need to employ special tactics and Cortana will give you tips. Then you eventually move towards one of the structures, and encounter the real threat…
John, Linda, Kelly, Fred, and Sam getting their mk IV armor and testing it out for the first time.
Serves as both a tutorial level and introduces us to Kelly, Fred and Linda, who will likely be major supporting characters in the game.
It is interrupted by Cortana yelling chief, waking him up from the flashback.

True this is possible But i went by the fact that the trailer is not cannon . The ship may not even be on fire in the Real cutscene .

OP Your idea sounds prettu good! That would be perfect start for the new trilogy and for the game.
Tutorial inside the flashback sounds good as well. It would fit game perfectly without being clunky.

I suppose it’ll have an eerie feeling and mysterious surroundings with us crash landing onto the planet.
