With the confirmation of the closure of the Halo servers in 360, it was announced that the Service Record of Halo Reach and Halo 4 would also be discontinued.
I have been reading the press release that 343 published, as well as this forum, but I have not found an answer to the question that has arisen. Will the service record for this website also disappear? Are they going to erase everything, showing only if we have completed the campaign or not? Or will it still be visible?
PS: I’d like to remind everyone that I made a request to 343 a few weeks ago about the ability to unlock all armor in Halo 4 and Reach for all players:
My guess is the stats will stay frozen, no more additions after the servers are stopped. When bungie recently deleted all of their old halo forums, post, and performance stats for each palyer for halo 2, 3, odst, and reach the stats had already been frozen for many years on the cite. So once 343 stops receiving player info from the servers it would make sence that you old stats would stay the same instead of disappearing.
At this point, wouldn’t it be more advisable to eliminate the multiplayer part and leave only visible what can be modified further? For example the campaign.

Idk, a lot of people would lose the ability to look back at a rank or stat page they are proud of. I think keeping it immortal, maybe with a special flair on the page, would be best

You’re right, maybe 343 Ind should explain a bit how things will turn out after closing. Both in the Service Record, as the subject of armor and others. If they decide to give them all away or do something to get them.

You have plenty time to get the Inheritor rank in Reach. If you don’t mind AFKing Grifball for hours for 100 days. Is it tedious and boring? Oh yeah. I knew some players who did that and even I did for a little bit. But you do get one of the best reward in all of Halo.

Doesn’t the system ban you for just sitting there match after match and not doing anything? I also didn’t think you could re search after being afk?

You won’t be banned from matchmaking for AFKing matches if that’s what you mean. The game will kick you back to the lobby after the match and that’s why it will become tedious as you cannot truly AFK this. Maybe if have a turbo controller that could work.

Yea sometime in mid September will be the final cut off date for new players to have a shot at getting to inheritor.
I still plan on getting there from Legend rank myself after I 152 Halo 5 by the early summer. If I jump back on H3 and by some miracle bump up my skill level in lone wolves by 10 points then I can achieve General level 1 but that’s about the best I can hop for from H3 before the servers close.

I just simply don’t have the time, it’s not a matter of trying, if I could I would haha, it’s just a case of not having enough time in the day to do it.

Completely fair, if it wasn’t for my overnight job where I can get away with gaing at work during the down hours there’s now way I could manage it either. Even then I am worried how reliable the late night servers will be at finding a match.

I don’t know how many local players you can have in Reach I can’t remember but I have 3 Xbox’s and 10 controllers lol, so population shouldn’t be too much of a problem! It’s great for helping people with achievements too haha.
