What will happen to characters in Halo 5

In a lot of places I seen discussions on whether characters in Halo 5 will live or die. Whether it is Blue Team, Osiris, Arbiter. Lasky, that random grunt who goes boom in the E3 trailer, the list goes on.

Now Halo 5 could have scenes like Halo 3 where majority of the cast died. We cant know till the game comes out. This is all speculation.
Podcast evolved did a interesting look over this subject with what may happen to some of the characters, if you want an idea how far the speculation can go.

So how do you think Halo 5 will leave some of the characters?

I’m actually really scared that 343 will preemptively kill off members of Blue Team and Osiris before they leave any impact on us. I’d like to think 343 know better than to do that, but it’s always possible, especially when Halo 5 has been stated to be the darkest Halo game in the Reclaimer Saga.

For those that cite how you’ll always have three teammates across the campaigns, it’s always possible that two members of Blue Team and Osiris will be killed towards the end of the game, and the remaining members of Blue Team and Osiris will have to team up. That thought really scares me because I’d like to see each team make a prominent appearance in the games before they’re killed.

Don’t just kill them off like this is Halo: Reach…

I agree but if we play with both teams all the way until the end and then two members from both team die I will be ok with that
but yeah it better not be like reach where you are just asking yourself “who will die this mission?”

Well, Snape will obviously kill Dumbledore, Bruce Wayne will becomes batman…

But in all seriousness, something tells me that when Fireteam Osiris and Blue Team have their climatic faceoff, assuming there’ll be a fight and assuming that after that faceoff, they’ll merge as one, bodies will drop. We’ve been promised three companions at all times during Halo 5’s campaign by 343. Unless 343 A) meant at least three, or B) Osiris and Blue will go separate ways after meeting each other, or C) after meeting they still remain separate teams, I imagine that four characters will die during that point in the story.

I don’t think anyone of the playable characters will die, I think after the showdown and they do team up, if they do. They’ll just have two objectives ala halo 2.

I would rather see a Civil War than 343 rehash halo 2.

Ohh please don’t kill those characters 343! Neither Arbiter!
Jul’s days are already numbered. I don’t say he’s an important character, but well he was interesting a bit. Anyway Jul’s death wont solve the Covenant problem, since there will be another head of the Covenant. So killing him is almost like as in the Cap. America Winter Soldier when Zola said that cut the hydra head and there will be 2 other.
Only 42 days to find out the truth.

I think this trilogy is going to be similar to the original in terms of introduction and killing of characters.

Halo CE and Halo 4: Introduction of the trilogy with a menace easily contained in the first game of the trilogy with one major death.
Halo 2 and Halo 5: Introduction of a lot of characters and setting up for the end, without any deaths of any protagonists or secondary characters.
And for the end of the trilogy, a lot of dead and closing up the trilogy’s plot.

If the Arbiter, Blue and Osiris team are to die at some point, I’m betting it would be on Halo 6.

Personally, I think the most likely to die are Lasky and Palmer. The Arbiter is also at risk.

If any of the major playable characters die, I have to speculate that it’ll be the entirety of Fireteam Osiris. For some reason, I could see the team sacrificing themselves in the endgame.

I have the same fear about their fates as well.

How many characters were killed off in Halo 3 anyways?

  1. Truth
  2. Johnson
  3. Miranda

That is definitely not half the cast.
