Hey everyone, being that we are about 1 week away from the “official” release of Halo Infinite, I got a few topics and questions I want to hear the communities thoughts on:
On December 8th depending on your time zone (mine 1PM, I’m EST) the campaign will drop. Is this going to be a completely separate game (app on dashboard) than the multiplayer we already have? Or is our current Halo Infinite application just going to get a massive update?
Will this “official” release/campaign drop have anything to do with the multiplayer? The current challenges reset on December 7th at Noon EST, so would they reset the challenges first then update the entire game the next day? I’m hoping they really re-amp the multiplayer part of the game on the official release date with a better user interface and more playlist to choose from. After all, this is a “beta” right? Has there been any official statement on what else is to come besides campaign on December 8th? One of the achievements, “Medic!”, is to revive teammates in an eliminations match, which we don’t have access to play yet. Would this come out on December 8th?
Are there any other events planned during Season 1 besides the Tenrai event? I’m going to complete Season 1’s Battle pass before the end of this year, so I really hope there will be more items to unlock from then until May 2022, end date of Season 1. Has anyone heard of any potential new events?
Looking forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts! Thanks Spartans!!
Considering there is already a Campaign button on the menu I’d assume that it’s just going to add onto what we have.
I highly doubt they have any changes planned for the Multiplayer. They probably would have announced those already to quell some of the anger in the community.
As for events, yes there are others. We don’t know a whole lot though as the only info I know of is a seasonal promotion poster floating around that lists them.
I doubt we will already see big changes to the MP. There is either work on the code of the game or in managment meetings that will delay overhauls of standing systems.
At the very least, I think we will be getting the Release build instead of the Beta build. Which means playlists won’t be randomized anymore. There will also likely be some changes to the progression and customization systems, but I doubt that a full overhaul is ready quite yet.
I’m curious to know what happens between steam and xbox game pass. I play on steam for MP, but I have gamepass and I intend to play campaign through that.
while I understand how you feel, especially with how the multiplayer has been so far, I wouldn’t completely give up yet! Technically Infinite wasn’t supposed to come out until the 8th and maybe 343 has planned this buffer time from the 15th until actual release date to get as much feedback as possible for the actual release. However though, there are a handful of things to fix and a lot of feedback so unsure if they can actually do all of that by the 8th.
