What will be the next threat?

343 killed of Storm Covenant (largest Covenant remnant) along with Jul Mdama. The Attack of Sanctum keep reminds of him… The new threat we have is Cortana and I think that threat will be dead in Halo 6 to complete the story. To continue the Halo franchise, there has to be a threat, unless 343 is going back in time. There is so much potential on the Halo universe and these are my ideas/guess for next enemy:

  • Warden Eternal (getting survive from Halo 6) - Jul Mdama or Mdama family line (He is dead, but there are many ways to bring him back. Also, I read a book about Naomi-010 and it saids Jul Mdama had wife, sadly she is also dead. However, we could expect Jul Mdama’s son going for revenge, if he has son.) - Anti Human Sangheili group (Parts of Sword of Sangheilios and some Sangheili hate to work with Humans and their politics could cause another civil war between them and eventually leading to Human-Sangheili War.) - Banished (Halo Wars 2) - Other Forerunner Survivals (like Didact) - New Covenant (Sanshyuums/prophets recruiting other species that we have not seen before.) - Insurrectionists - FloodI would like to see Jul Mdama making return or his family taking over his authority.

Please no more warden… wasn’t fighting him seven times in one campaign, not to mention the countless multiplayer games enough?

Pretty sure we will be fighting who ever aligns with the created and the guardians what ever they do.

Last sentence is my thought. Somehow, it will be AI/the created/guardians, however you want to categorize that faction, as the threat. I thought since the end scene where we see a Halo ring light up, “well I guess the Flood could be coming back”. But never considered until now, what if they align with Chief/humanity/Arbiter as they briefly did in H3? If Cortana is going to basically try to wipe everything out except AI, does the Gravemind try to align with Chief again to find a way to stop them?
