Thanks for setting up the link. for some reason it didnt work for me.

Eh, I saw all of The Act Man’s videos. He’s ridiculously nitpicky to the point that his genuine points lost their value when they were surrounded by unnecessary nitpicks. For example, he slates the hell out of the opening cutscene, saying for one example that when Vale jumps into the enemy Phantom (which is losing altitude and is out of control) that it’s just bad choreography when the two Elites just stand back and let Vale shoot them. Well, for a start, she kicks them off-balance, and Elite armour doesn’t have thrusters, stabilisers and magnetic boots to keep them balanced like a Spartan. You’d think such a “hardcore Halo fan” would think of that.

In all, yeah he does have some points. But his fanboying really blinds him at times. The fact that he praises Reach so highly and ignores it’s very very obvious flaws and then makes an hour-long rant about Halo 5’s campaign tells me that really he’s not the best voice for the community, because that bias just isn’t the way to have a rational discussion.

I watch his videos for a different perspective, but his overall attitude and crippling negativity really put me off.

U may hav a point how he supports halo reach as the best and I loved all of the halo games it not just halo 3 or reach but all the games. wat he said about halo 5 is wat made me post this topic as well as wat next halo should remember from this game

I mean, I’m a huge fan of Halo Reach, it’s the Halo game that I have - by far - spent the most time on. But I know its flaws and can love it while acknowledging them. Same reason why I can enjoy Halo 5 despite its equally-glaring flaws. But, at the end of the day, The Act Man is a YouTuber, and he wants three things = money, attention and growth. A series of twenty-minute rants about a video game campaign (on a side note, if you consider doing the same, please reconsider putting that effort and passion into something that actually matters, there’s real world issues that need that support) will do just that for him.
