What went right?

You:

  • decreased grenade blast damage
  • increased the respawn time
  • nerfed the oddball melee
  • minimized the sword reticle
  • REALLY messed up controller aim
  • made the hydra TTK (uselessly) higher
  • turned the AR into a long range power weapon; and
  • buffed starting weapons to the point that few grab anything else (why grab a bulldog when the AR kills just as fast at close/mid/long range?)

…and a whole bunch of other things noone asked for.

Kudos where it’s due, you did bring back the classic motion sensor and (marginally) improved controller aiming following community feedback.

However, this MP won’t spend much time in the sun if the enumerated items (and much more) are not quickly adjusted. I’m a former competitive player and still know a lot of former MLG players. The unanimous feedback is that they hate Infinite’s MP (and not compared to past Halos, they hate it compared to Apex, Battlefield, Warzone, and Overwatch).

I think you’ve failed to hit the mark for either the social or competitive community, and no amount of FTP will compensate.

Don’t become a Back 4 Blood by ignoring your community. Listen to feedback offered by people who want the game to succeed.

Or don’t. It’s your game.

Good luck.

Actually the radar itself still needs improvement especially range wise.

Being able to play with bots is incredible. Firing up custom games and playing with AI is extremely fun and stress free. There’s only two things I want to see in a future update:

  1. More bots. Currently we’re limited to 8, would like to see that number bumped up considerably to play 8v8 or 12v12 BTB matches.

  2. AI controlled Vehicles and Turrets. 343 has said they’re working on it, so hopefully that will be available soon.

So that’s one thing that 343 did right.

Completely agree with you on this. The bots are a great addition, and they’re particularly well executed.
