What weapons do you consider overpowered in Halo 5

I think most weapons are fine, but I can’t stay silent on a few.

1. The promethean grenade.

I think a better idea would be it does minimal damage on impact but the fragments it leaves does the most damage, so the grenade can be used for specific tactical reasons.

However, it pretty much kills on impact, which is highly annoying. It should be used to block paths and divert players away from places, and it should not really damage players much it it hits them. Only the fragments it leaves behind causes death.

You should not be able to just turn around and plant one on an enemy and get an undeserved trade. Sticky grenades kill in one blast, but it’s not always easy to stick enemies, but it’s pretty easy to hit them with promethean grenades.

2. The needler

Half a clip of needles shouldn’t be enough to kill someone. I know some people say “it’s easily avoidable”, but if you are caught from behind, you die. If are in an open space, you die.

I think the needler should take down your shield, but you should still have to pop a persons head with a final shot with a BR/Pistol. It’s basically a pink death cannon.

3. SMG

I think it should be more powerful than the AR, but it shouldn’t have the range of an AR. It should only be effective close range, like Halo 2/3.

Some people say “these weapons should be more powerful than your starting weapons”. In certain ways, yes, but every weapon should have it’s advantages and disadvantages.

AR’s should be able to beat SMG’s mid range without much trouble.

BR is overpowered? It’s 4 shot kill like all Halo games, except Halo 4.

Every single automatic in this game needs toned down.

There is absolutely no reason an assault rifle should leave me one shot at medium range when I have a BR.

Storm rifle has the highest TTK of all weapons, and it’s not hard to master the weapon, just burst fire it.

Really don’t have a problem with the SMG, haven’t noticed a big damage at range, it should melt you up close.

Just curious, what needs toning down with the Br?

None of the weapons are OP… The weapon balance in H5 is definitely the best out of all Halo games… definitely definitely don’t do anything to the needler… it’s an iconic Halo weapon to me and I am glad it’s actually useful and kicks yoink again.

None of the weapons are overpowered. The game focuses more on skill than the weapons.

AR is a close to mid range rifle.
However, if you’re getting out gunned in the BR’s favoured range, then, learn2aim

No weapons in h5 seem overpowered at all, they all have their effective ranges and work well

Needler rarely wins if the two players are equally skilled. Anyone decent will win a gunfight if they shoot from behind. Half a clip is a lot considering ar br smg are all 1/3 clip.
Splinter grenade doesn’t kill on impact anymore
I always outgun smgs at midrange with the ar cos a shot descopes the guy and then he’s out of range

Each weapon is powerful in its own right. They should be left as they are, in my opinion. Just wish they wouldn’t disappear so quick when after I die in Warzone.

It’s a different story in Arena because I half consider it a power weapon as you don’t spawn with it.

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the needler a power weapon? And the purpose of a power weapon is to be a powerful weapon?

If your close range against the Br the smg should win lol. The br is not meant for close quarters really Mid to long range i would of thought.

Really good players. They are so OP. Plz nerf.

None, i think for most parts they are useful for the first time in Halo history.

The only thing I agree with your observation is that the SMG does have almost the same range of the AR. Making the AR completely useless against the SMG.
The needler is not OP it’s perfect where it’s at any nerf of the needler will make it completely useless.
As for some people asking for the BR to be able to stand a chance against the SMG within close range that’s absurd. The SMG is suppose to thrive at close range would you like it if I said that the SMG should have a chance against the BR at mid to long range.
Overall the weapons are well balance except
for maybe the AR could use a little buff to be able to compete with a BR and a Pistol from mid to long range.
I know it seems ridiculous to ask for a rifle to be able to compete with a pistol from long range.
