I think most weapons are fine, but I can’t stay silent on a few.
1. The promethean grenade.
I think a better idea would be it does minimal damage on impact but the fragments it leaves does the most damage, so the grenade can be used for specific tactical reasons.
However, it pretty much kills on impact, which is highly annoying. It should be used to block paths and divert players away from places, and it should not really damage players much it it hits them. Only the fragments it leaves behind causes death.
You should not be able to just turn around and plant one on an enemy and get an undeserved trade. Sticky grenades kill in one blast, but it’s not always easy to stick enemies, but it’s pretty easy to hit them with promethean grenades.
2. The needler
Half a clip of needles shouldn’t be enough to kill someone. I know some people say “it’s easily avoidable”, but if you are caught from behind, you die. If are in an open space, you die.
I think the needler should take down your shield, but you should still have to pop a persons head with a final shot with a BR/Pistol. It’s basically a pink death cannon.
3. SMG
I think it should be more powerful than the AR, but it shouldn’t have the range of an AR. It should only be effective close range, like Halo 2/3.
Some people say “these weapons should be more powerful than your starting weapons”. In certain ways, yes, but every weapon should have it’s advantages and disadvantages.
AR’s should be able to beat SMG’s mid range without much trouble.
