What we miss about past halo titles,
I miss the format where you don’t gamble for armor, but instead you can unlock and buy armor sets. Such as Halo: Reach had.
I miss the armor effects and firefight voices, the customizable emblems, the falcon and/or revenant, and what I miss most of all…
is having playable sangheili!
Foresure man i understand that
Funny marines, open spacey maps that were unique unto themselves (even the paid DLC Maps, they were worth it.), awesome vehicular warfare, couch co-op, helping a wide audience instead of a certain niche, game released completely at launch, customization, social and ranked playlists that were permanent and not some rotational popularity contest, and lastly the real kicker blood (kids were playing it long before the T rating, bring back the human blood. it was the perfect middle ground.)
Slower, more split-second based strategic combat, split screen (I know it won’t come back 'till 6, but that doesn’t mean I don’t miss it.) Less camping, better weapon balance, larger community, old powerup style, and more wild-life/stone/whatever maps. Tired of stupid UNSC maps, and covenant/forerunner are starting to get a little old as well. EDIT: And flood. I loved the flood. Can you imagine if there was a flood-based firefight map?!?!?!?
All the copy & pasted corridors
Seperation of number and subtitle.
Split-screen.
splitscreen indeed. And active camo that stays full strength no matter what your holding or how fast your moving
Nothing. They were great. Now they’re over. Live in the present.

Agreed. I still have a playlist that I listen to on my iPod that has all the music from the Combat Evolved, H2, and H3 soundtracks, and it is glorious.

We are living in the present. It’s just some of us still enjoy things about the original games, and still enjoy playing them over the new ones. Nothing wrong with that. 343i put the MCC on the Xbox One for a reason, right?
As someone who completed a history major at my university, I can attest to the fact that remembering the past is just as important as paying attention to the present. You can’t have one without the other, otherwise people are doomed to repeat mistakes (in this case, pushing the Halo franchise so far off-base that it doesn’t feel much like “Halo” anymore. And the unnecessary retconning of story advancements made pre-Halo 5).
CE CTF best CTF ever made in Halo. The maps including the PC ones with there open multi path design to your base and the enemy base. Being able to drive a vehicle with the flag.(why this was removed is stupid). Simply touching your flag after killing the person who took it and it resets to your base automatically or if no one touches your flag and its away from your base within 15 seconds it resets automatically as well. Still playing it in customs or BTB to this day on the MCC.

Same here I made a personal playlist on youtube with 22 songs on them from every game except Halo Wars. Arrival was the only good OST from H4 in my opinion.

That all I miss in Halo I would be happy if they add that to Halo 5 and Halo 6
