-5 rounds with different objectives in between
-8 player
-No waves, going through the video in slow-mo only show different hide-and-seek objectives like “Find and Kill all Crawlers”
-You can use REQ’s
-Variants of enemies are included as bosses
-It clearly isn’t unlimited, since there’s a time limit counting down to complete objectives.
-It isn’t survival based
We don’t know a lot, but what we have is enough to base an opinion of it. It clearly isn’t survival based, if it was then the bosses and other AI would hunt you down. Slow it down for yourself and you’ll see the same things. Here is the video.
> Warzone Firefight is an ambitious new multiplayer experience that takes the initial promise of Halo 5’s Warzone multiplayer – the epic battles, incredible scale and huge maps – and applies that to create the biggest Halo cooperative experience ever in franchise history. In Warzone Firefight, up to eight players will work together to complete five rounds of increasingly difficult, dynamic objectives set against a timer to emerge victorious.
I figured the revive mechanic would be used, so not surprised it isn’t survival based. Also, a 25 min match instead of an unlimited one seems right considering we’ll be earning reqs.
My biggest concern is AFKers. Big problem in Reach.
I’m a little bummed there will be no score attack. Loved that in Reach.
Death slows you down and hurts your score and time to complete objectives. Its not the same as survival but makes it where you have to still be decent to not die all the time.
As excited I am for Warzone Firefight, more and more all I can think of is Variks the Loyal saying: “Prometheansss coming for you; yesssss? Kill them dead.”
It’s Halo’s version of Prison of Elders!
I’m making an assumption here with the name, but because it is called “Warzone” Firefight, can we logically assume that it will be online only? All Warzone playlists currently are online only, so is it reasonable to assume that WZFF is going to be online only as well?

Yes, that’s a reasonable assumption.
I could see having an option to play solo though. Or even choosing the size of team that you want.

I was going to put that down, but I figured most people would say “Oh well we don’t know anything yet so that’s not true.”

I really wish you could do this, and also be able to customize some settings.

Yes it’s supported through the cloud, and I don’t think can run off just xbox hardware
