While I love many things about Halo 2 (It is my favorite Halo game), One thing I especially loved about it was that it made the Covenant really feel like an orginized alien race, and not just a bunch of plasma shooting obstacles that shout “Wort wort wort!”.
Now the Covenant is a massive alien war machine of many aliens and technologies that shoots plasma and shouts “Wort wort wort!”.
So tell me, what about Halo 2 did you love the most?

CMP: Being able to obtain and use the Scarab gun on Outskirts and Metropolis. Sword flying a close second.
The amazing multiplayer maps. I’m usually a single-player kind of gamer but dang…that multiplayer was so fun because of the fantastic maps! Terminal and Containment were quite epic.
The campaign of Halo 2 is just incomparable to all the other Halo Campaign after Halo 2, the maps were just amazing, and you could super-bounce, launch, get out of maps, do all kinds of glitches, now everything is blocked by invisible barriers. its not fun, they lost a lot of fans that used to do that, there was a big community that used to do that kind of stuff. there will never be a better halo than halo 2
Halo 2 had the best multiplayer system in my opinion. I miss the BxR and double shot most. While most view them as unfair glitches, I view them as ways to be become “better” than the game itself. No shield? Reload, take cover, and BxR the kid chasing you when you’re out of grenades. It allowed you to LIVE!
Campaign. It had the best Cinematics (if you are willing to sit through the hour), the most amazing story, clever easter eggs (to bad they ran out of time to put in the other) and was just so LONG. It was beautiful. I was almost salivating in my joy of that game the first time I played it.
> The long and great Halo 2 Campaign made also for a long and grueling Legendary.

> If you want to play a Halo that can be both fun and challenging, play Halo 2.

> Not to mention those amazing multiplayer maps that make for truly Halo gameplay.

> Also, can’t believe nobody has said music yet! (Well, I guess there is a thread now for it)

Scrolled down and saw this… Kinda feel like I can’t say what my favorite part if Halo 2 is…
Anyway, I can’t remember the mission name but it’s toward the end of the campaign. You walk into this room and Breaking Benjamin’s “Blow Me Away” starts blasting and you’re given the task to decimate a whole bunch of Brutes. The music, the carnage. Favorite. Part. Of. Campaign.
Oh yeah… also the multiplayer. Every Halo after Halo 2 lives in the shadow of Halo 2.
Multiplayer in H2 was amazing. I still play split screen with my brothers and sister. The Campaign is awesome, I still play that too, Exploring grey zones in H2 is fun. The Magnum dual wielded is actually really good. My favorite mission is Regret, but I like Arbiter to hang with my grunt friends.
I liked the glitches, the secrets, and the story. The campaign and story environments were absolutely lovely. There was nothing I loved more than BxR’ing, YY’ing, and getting outside of single player levels, and running around where I know I shouldn’t have been. I felt like Dora the Explorer.

That and there were things to do and things to find once off-level too! H2 was 3 games…MP, CMP and exploring/glitching.
