I’ll go first back in Halo 4, I want to say 2012, we ran into this clan that was trying to recruit me and my friends. Little did they know we enjoy some mischief and we were already in our own clan called Company Freelancer. So we accepted the invited and went along with everything for a little bit. They had a cringey name too like Blood Angels or something rather odd, but anyway, we end up on a base they created on that asteroid forge world in Halo 4. They had us line up, yknow standard military procedure. It started dragging on so one of my friends was getting anxious and got out of line, and then one of the members of this clan that we didn’t know did the same. Well he received punishment and they made him crouch throughout the whole map as a sort of “training.” Which at this point this is when me and my friends turned on them cause we thought that was absolute BS, and turned on them and made them extremely mad, to put that into PG Terms. We then 4v4 clan battled them, beat them and to this day, the leader of that clan hates me. He even threatened to DDoS me and what not which he clearly had no idea how to do.
I ran into them once again on Halo 5 and I joined them to see if he remembered me and sure enough he did. He yelled some obscenities at me and they forcefully removed me from their lobby and party.
TL:DR, Me and my friends joined a clan and they punished a member by making him crouch around that map, thus starting a clan war in 2012.
Ohhhhh Im glad you asked lol.Way back in Halo reach around 2011-2012, me and my best friend were part of this clan though we didnt actually play with them all that much cuz the girl that was the head of the clan was a just an all around toxic person and would get mad if we were constantly doing something with them. Well anyways one day I was playing with them and there was some drama apparently with one of the members told them he would be online and wasnt and it was cuz he had family obligations so we all loaded into a custom game of a court room that they had built in forge world? and everyone was told to be quiet while they put him on a mock trial and he was sentenced to death and executed lol. I really wish I was making this up but Im not, I left the clan after that pretty much.Lol.

That sounds like this elite clan I ran into in Halo Reach around the same time, it was a Sangheili Clan, so yknow all those guys with the gamertags Lord Vadamee, Thol Thotamee, a lot of meeeeees. I assassinated the leader in a raid and in their rule book he had to step down as leader and disband the clan.

I was playing with my friend, who was in a clan. We were playing with some guys from another clan. We were doing Customs. They got mad because I was messing around. I think one of them found out what my IP was. I wasn’t scared because I knew he wasn’t gonna do anything

I thought ok sure I guess I could give it a try, it wasnt too bad until they finally realised I was female and then it just was a bombardment of asking if i was single and crappy pick up lines. I left pretty quickly after that.

I’m so sorry you had to deal with that, that’s actually cringey as hell
I have been part of one and a half clans and neither of those experiences have been cringe. One was back when I played COD 4 MW all the time and it just fizzled away. The other I started on Destiny 1 because I needed to start and finish a raid with five other clan members for an achievement. Most people left the Destiny clan but it is still pretty much just me in it.

I got asked my real number by a buddy in a clan, he gave it to clan leader and one afternoon, when I’m out with friends I got a call saying we’re having a clan battle and that I need to prepare. Gave me a schedule for it and when we need to start “training”. He then followed that the “training” will be learning how to strafe, dodge stickies, and use a sniper. The guy even told me he made maps for the training and have been certified by clan members. I told him go -Yoink- himself and get a life. Next morning I got a message on Xbox. I have been formally kicked out of the clan for breaking UCMJ article 88 for contempt towards officials. I laughed and never been in a clan since. This was in halo 4 era.
Oh also they had requirements to keep up clan reputations like do clan battles and such. I was only in it cuz my friend was in it and we needed people to play to get achievements.

Reminds me of a time running into a role playing clan. These guys acted as freelancers from RvB. Man that was bad. I was put into a custom game and I just sat and listened to them make up scenes and stuff. The guy in charge was 22 and living with his parents without a job. Man I left that withought even saying a word and blocked them all.
