In any Halo game, what was your best moment? Was there a time where you got to be the big hero and turn the game around, for you and/or your team? I want you to brag about the most badass thing you’ve ever done in a matchmade game. I’ll share one of my stories.
I was playing BTB in Halo 4 once, on the map Meltdown. The enemy team took control of both the Mantis mechs, and had us holed up in our base. Our guys kept poking their heads around the corner, taking pod shots at those giant death robots in vain as the mechs picked us off one by one. I took a risk, and snuck out of the base at the lower level, careful not to trip on the enemies motion trackers. I rounded the corner up the hill and saw them reloading their rockets, and so I stood up and ran full speed ahead at them. I hoped on the first one and planted a ‘blue spider’ on its back. His buddy tried to shoot me off but somehow he couldn’t hit me. Then I jumped onto the other one and left and another plasma grenade on his back as well. It was like I was David, except I took on Goliath and his cousin at the same time, and won. Since the coast was clear my buddies got to escape and get revenge, and we won the game.
I have a clip of it saved, but I can’t access it until I get a new copy of Halo 4. I’ll try to upload it to my file share once I get a new disk.
So, what are some stories you guys would like to share?
One time I was playing BTB Heavies on Spire, and I was sitting in the turret of the Gauss Hog with nobody driving. I shot two jet-packing players, and one threw a grenade and almost knocked me into the water. I drove the Warthog back to where it was and before I got in the turret again, someone shot a rocket at the Hog and it flew right through the middle of it, grazing both seats. I shot the guy before he had a chance to correct his mistake. I have the clip on my Halo Reach file share if you’d like to download and watch it.
One time, I playing SWAT on Reflection when my entire team quit. I was alone and outnumbered 4 to 1, yet I still won. My tactic was to constantly run around the map, and attack from different spots. I would then go to another spot to stay hidden. Believe it or not this actually happened twice, except on the 2nd time, one of the enemies quit, leaving only 3 left.
The best moment was not too long ago I found a grenade jump placement for pillar of autumn that will actually spare time for speedrunners. I just have not shown it to them yet and surprised that no one else has used it or talked about it. I have viewed many runs from live, segmented and recorded and sure enough I get credit for it.
Now comes do I reveal the jump or not and try to get a record run myself, because I am by no means a speedrunner and yet I found this. So right now this is my best moment. I know the topic is in multiplayer, but I thought this might fit just being a best moment. If not I’ll edit this post.

That’s fine. Campaign is full of great moments, too.

Sometime in the halo 3 days, I’ll always remember this. I had gotten an extermination with a little bit of luck. On Valhalla, I had grabbed the spartan laser. A warthog with 3 people in it came towards me from the base by the waterfall. I was around where the gravlift drops you, I lasered the wort hog and i got a kill trocity - the laser that went through the first warthog had gone and hit another 3 manned warthog as it was making its way around the right (my right) side of the base… seconds later, i see that i got a killtastrophe. The 2nd warthog i lasered splattered 2 players as they spawned. So yeah, that was quite legendary
Playing Swat on H4 on Haven. I was having a killer game but nobody else on my team seemed to be doing much good. Near the end of the game my team was down 59-56 With all of us dead. We respawn bottom middle so I lead the way up top. I immediately see 2 people all the way across the map and shoot them down. As I scan to the left i see the last two who notice me at the same time. Somehow I kill them both with the last shot hitting literally milliseconds before they hit me. It was so close I literally didn’t know for sure who had one until I saw the Victory pop up on my screen We won 60-59 thanks to my overkill to end it. I’m not great, but sometimes on swat I can get on a roll. Obviously the people who I was playing with weren’t amazing either, but it felt awesome to pull it off like that! When the final stats showed up I had gotten 49 of the 60 kills. Best game and moment by far.
I was playing SWAT with a friend of mine, we were on the red team and two of our teammates left before the game started so it was only me and my friend against the blue team on Panic Station. It was great fo0r me because we didn’t camp around like some other people do. No, we were moving around the whole map and killing all of them. We eventually won against four players (considering we were only two) and when I was above one of the bridges I saw the four blue guys coming right at me, changed to Magnum and jumped while placing bullets in their heads XD
I played Valhalla with my little nephew (several years ago).
I was walking towards the base near the mountain when an enemy Warthog showed up with a gunner. He startet shooting at me and almost killed me, but suddenly, out of nowhere, my nephew came by and placed two perfect grenades and flipped the Hog and we gunned both players down together.
It was a great timing, and considering how young he was at the time we were playing, it was an unbelievable deed.

Nope. I’m afraid not. It was all just… too good, ya’ know?
Was playing Invasion on Halo Reach on that ship graveyard level. We were the spartans defending our objective on that and they had us on the ropes. I grabbed the scorpion tank and back myself against a far wall overlooking the whole field. Then I let the cannon rip. Slaughtering Elite after elite. Had over 50+ kills, knocking jet pack elites and banshees out of the air and sniping people across the map with that cannon.
They finally had to focus their whole team to stop me. A had allies in a warthog running cover on me, covering my flanks. But then they snagged him and a whole army of elites charge me with infantry, a wraith and a Banshee. It turned into a running battle and I was doing my best to knocking out anybody who decided to be a easy target and the wraith. The banshee was killed by a spartan lazer.
But then they finally blew off my turret somehow and I had to ditch the remains of my tanks with a DMR and a energy sword from a dead elite that had one and armor lock. the op verson. This was before the TU and was able to kill 5 more elites Noble 6 style before they killed me. Then the timer ran out and a longsword flew by and killed their phantom. The match ended with me with 76 kills and 3 deaths. Never was able to get a match like that again
Really wish I saved the video. But i didn’t know how to use file share at the time, but I saved it to the xbox. Then my Xbox red ringed and I had to start using my Halo Reach LE xbox to play reach
But best way to use the tank. If your team has the spartan lazer. Use it as a 90mm sniper cannon. Not rush in

I just couldn’t believe they allowed me to just sit there sniping them with the scorpion for like 5 minutes. But then again. all the had to do was get the data core to the Phantom. So they were to focused on that. took full advantage of it.
I’m pretty much the same way with the scorpion on any game. Never understood to guys who charge with it
