Sorry guys I’m kinda new to Mcc. I played a few matches of halo 2 anniversary and I loved the new graphics. My question is why no-one plays it. Is there something wrong with it in specific? Thanks

The multiplayer is great. The only thing about the actual campaign that everyone hates is that it’s the PC port, which is a lot buggier than the original Xbox version.
There doesn’t have to be anything wrong with it in order for people to prefer any one of dozens of newer games (several of them Halo games) to an aging title. I think a lot of people picked it up in the run up to Halo 5 as a way to get some Halo on their new console, but even if the multiplayer hadn’t been the train wreck that it was I think the lion’s share of players would have moved on long before now. I still put it in once in a while for fun, but it’s nothing I want a steady diet of when I could be playing warzone or forging maps that I can play with more complex and satisfying weapon and motion mechanics. Every time I revisit an older Halo it just reinforces my belief that newer Halo is better Halo.
There’s nothing wrong with the H2a multiplayer, aside from the matchmaking issues plaguing MCC. h2a multiplayer’s gameplay is great. It looks beautiful and it actually plays like a Halo game. It reminds me of how much better classic Halo is than nu-Halo.
If your talking about the multiplayer, then I absolutely like H2As multiplayer!
The only problem is that there are only 5 remastered maps , and several other games generally mixed into the mode , unless you are playing H2A specifically. Then it is just a limited playlist.

Absolutely nothing. It’s a blast.
Why nobody plays it? Probably has something to do with the disasterous launch, and by the time it was fixed people either moved on to other games, or just played it until Halo 5 came out. There are still issues in the MCC that haven’t been fixed (and won’t be fixed), and it left a really bad taste in the mouth of the fans.
If the game launched today, I have no doubts that it would do well. Unfortunately, it’s 2.5 years old, which to many gamers, is two and a half years too late.
it had one of the worst launches iv ever seen for a video game. For multiple weeks as well. I remember it taking over 20 min to find a match on launch. But other than that it works fine now it just left a really bad taste in players mouths it’s no surprise it pretty much dead. I still play once and awhile for og halo 2 mp. I also remember constantly getting stepped on by the scarab when it was doing a scinamatic walk during one of halo 2s campaign missions…(I wasn’t supposed to die their)
That one noticeable piece of music that wasn’t licensed out again in the fight in the arbiters mausoleum - i’m taling about ‘blow me away’ that was epic, new music, ehhh not so much in that mission.
Edit: title says what wrong with Halo 2, not specifically multiplayer related, so my comment is acceptable.
Also, Why is this not in the MCC section?
i like h2a … mp and campaign.
just a few problems, which were allready pointed out:
in sp:
missing song (breaking benjamin - blow me away) in level gravemind
in mp:
not enough maps
hit markers and grenade warning
terrible game launch
and now: to few players in h2a playlist (also there are 3 other amazing mp halos in the game … h:ce, h2c, h3)
but i would like it, if it would show up more often in matchmaking
H2A MP isn’t bad. The issues come from the game’s short Dev time and budget. This resulted in it being built on the Halo 4 engine. So hit markers, high bullet mag. And only 7 maps being made for the game.
Also, by being part of the MCC with 4 other games it didn’t get the advertising and support it deserved. Fighting for population, attention and playlist space.
If it had been a stand alone title it would have done a lot better.

I haven’t gotten to that point yet but I had forgotten about that music. I believe a licensing issue prevented it from being used again. I love it so far though way better than the PC port.

Basically this, if 343i had put time into one game instead of gambling with a unitfied ui then we’d have one extraordinary remaster, with plenty of maps and classic gameplay that we love.
Instead we got The Halo Centipede.

^^^ All that.

Probably because of copyright issues. I still listen to the song at least weekly.

The main issue is it can’t be stable at times. I’ve noticed this when going in as a group and random people will randomly get disconnected when the map loads or even in the middle of the map. Another big issue is the huge aim assist way to easy to snipe or get headshots in the game. The graphics are great, game play is good I like the silenced SMG, the gungooses.
It plays exactly like Halo 4, which is to say it’s easy to play and lacks depth.

I think you quoted me on the wrong quote XD
H2A Multiplayer is awesome. H2A Graphics are awesome. I just wish that I could find people to play it with. It is probably my second favorite Halo title now that I think of it. If I am ever in the mood to play something that isn’t Halo 5, I would probably pick H2A. I love how the maps have interactive elements.
