What was the reason for regional adjustment test?

I have some friends around pacific area (East Asia, Australia) and they are still saying matchmaking’s not works for them and can’t play H5. First, I can’t even understand why they can’t play H5 multiplayer, dedicated server is not a new technology, Titanfall works fine. GOW:UE works fine but why 343i always makes troubles with their damn multiplayer?
It has been almost two weeks since 343i had that regional adjustment thing and even new update have released but what was the point of doing regional adjustment test if there’s still people who can’t play H5?
Halo is the most loved xbox franchise and I am very sure Halo fans are the one of most big xbox user group whether you are in North America or Somewhere on Earth but, if 343i still ignores foreign fans like this? well, do 343i even cares about their franchise? HCS? Novels? TV series?(now I am curious where the hell is new Halo TV series now?), It’s all -Yoink- without properly working multiplayer, I just want to play with my friends and I can’t 343i you hopeless -Yoinks!-

Yeah the networking team doesn’t appear to be the best :frowning:

The point of the test was basically to see how the game ran when they “opened the floodgates” to players who couldn’t connect due to high latency. Places like Brazil, Chille, some places in asia and few others but i forget.

The results were that, yes, they could find games and initially they were happy, but soon realised that’s its pointless cause you’re about 0.5 seconds behind everyone else so you’re just gonna get wrecked in Diamond and above where the players are half decent, half a second is a long time in halo, the hit reg with that kind of ping is awful and it wasn’t exactly fun for everyone else trying to hit a rubber banding opponent.

Regional server selection in the UI is the way to go, there’s a 2000 post long thread about it but we’re still waiting and hoping, fingers crossed!
