I see no just cause for its removal. Its what made the Title update more fun and fast paced. Without it it feels like I’m playing vanilla reach, which I disliked a great deal. Now I dislike it once again. Now idk if the TU saved the little amount of life reach had left, all I know is it felt like Halo once again not anymore.
Kids whining about it on here so they removed it… Instead of looking at the problem (melees) they just removed it all together, this could have easily been fixed with lowering the melee damage, but no simple fix was to remove it so they did.

Lowering the melee damage as far as I saw, was a 3 hits for a melee kill, not 2 hits like the original, it wasn’t a solution, it was a, BLEEDTHROUGH IS AMAZING, LETS MAKE MELEE USELESS!
The Health Pack glitch was a problem, it was fixed with the removal of bleedthrough.

Yes this was the real issue.

75% is a two hit kill with bleedthru. 50% is a three.
3 is better in that it doesn’t punish poor connections, but 50% is too low and doesn’t adequately boost the overall strength of the autos to compensate for the boost 85% bloom gave the precision. I wish there were options between 75 and 50%, 3hits is definitely the way to go, but it might not be feasible in reach.
My guess is the problems that bleedthru revealed were not worth the time for 343 to fix, thus the removal of bleedthru
I know that some people have played with custom settings to make the melee a three-hit kill without making it too weak. Why couldn’t 343 do that?
And while the health pack glitch was a glitch that should have been addressed, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED!
For what it fixed or changed, it caused many other little problems.

2 hits is adequate. It keeps gameplay flowing and moving. 75% is ideal for 2 hits and gets rid of the health pack glitch. Problem solved.
