It’s only one credit wtf, what was the point of it?

It used to be 1,000 cR. But yes, it should be removed. Like one of the possible reasons for reducing it to one cR, “most have it already and we don’t want to hand out free cR.”
But whatever. Consider it a free cR for doing something which may or may not be humorous…
To see how much the community will whine about it.

For the lulz
1cR payout is ludicrous, but i suppose it was put there as a placeholder. Something that easy shouldn’t be worth much, especially when it’s only getting you to use your fileshare. Still, i think there should be a minimum number of cR you receive from daily challenges. Something around the 1000cR mark would suffice.
I assumed it was a challenge that previously required you to have your tag linked to Bungie.net to complete.
Did it get changed in the end?

Yes, right after Reach came out it was one of the first challenges. And it was to get people to link to their Bungie account.
But they also had one just for that, I think it was called “linked up” where all you had to do was play a game with your GT linked to your B.Net account and you got that one.
Lots of carry over from Bungie’s days. For example, all the daily challenges are still in fire fight every Thursday still…
Having already removed all of the DLC playlists from the game, 343 doesn’t have a lot of other ways to yoink around with the remaining Reach players. On the plus side, at least they made sure to hook up a cool new unique weekly challenge while they were fumbling around with the challenge payouts.

I think you missed the question, for Clip It, Share it, could you only complete it if you had your account linked to Bungie.net?
It was for the lulz.

Since 343’s taking over of the Halo franchise pretty much all they’ve done is things that make me facepalm. After giving canon the finger with legends, screwing over the last remaining Reach players by removing DLC they paid for, stealing every defining feature of CoD to put into Halo 4, and bait and switching everyone who pre ordered the Halo 4 limited edition, I guess all they have left to troll their inherited fanbase is to waste a daily challenge opportunity with 1 Cr. If I ever see Frankie in public somewhere, I imagine that upon finding out I was a Halo fan he would promptly kick me in the balls.
It’s said really, I thought this month, October, the last full month of halo reach before halo 4 they would be throwing easy challenges with big payouts since the number of players on reach will drastically drop when halo 4 comes out. But instead they have been coming out with challenges that are the opposite. Either they are really easy and not worth it to do for the amount of time it takes, Clip it share it, or they come out with hard challenges like LASO Pillar which gives you 17777 cR which takes about an hour at the easiest. Playing a full match of griffball gives me more credits in less time.
Btw you don’t need to be linked to B.net and it wasn’t a replacement. It existed with Linked up, connect to Bungie.net, the B.net one would give you 3000 cR and Clip it Share it would give you 1000cR but now they dropped it. I would have rather had a challenge that was worth it. Nothing less then 1000cR. If they really are only going to give you 1Cr for doing that challenge then 343i might as well not even bother putting it up. Neither competitive players nor casual gamers will waste their time to get it.
You have to go into threatre, load a film, record, save, upload to file share. The amount of time I could be half way down with a match by then. More credits. Seriously they need to go through and either bump the credits to the point of them actually being worth something or just don’t bother with putting it in and instead removing the challenge. It’s a waste of data and time.
Sorry if you feel that I am strongly opinionated on this but I was trying to get to inheritor before Halo 4 and I have been getting Yoinked but these challenges. I am about to become a Reclaimer and I would be instead at an inheritor if they didn’t do this. But ya it really wasn’t worth wasting the time and effort. I just played full matches of grifball instead. Got 84000cR in my last game, hit the credit limit in total today.

No, he was just too nice to tell you that you were confusing challenges Moa.
You never had to be linked to Bungie to do the clip it share it one.
Linked up was the only one you had to be linked to bungie for.
