What was the best multiplayer halo game?

what the title said

I think Halo 2 anniversary. To bad it didn’t get the respect it deserved and wasn’t it’s own game and was part of that mess of MCC.

So far for me it’s Halo 4, but am yet to start H5 and MCC…

Halo Reach and it’s not even close.

InB4 Halo 3 fanboys.

Halo: Reach was great for a long time, but then updated and left in such a way that DLC that I paid for never even mattered anymore. So for me, Reach comes in at a very close second.

I would say Halo 2 back on original XBox because it was easily the best FPS out at the time and didn’t have competition like Call of Duty stealing gamers away from the community. Also, I remember having LAN parties with Halo: CE, wrangling 12+ people together in one room, and then having my mind absolutely blown when XBox Live came out where I could have a “LAN party” any time that I wanted to.

By the way, I bet that this thread is going to be locked soon, since it’s not “directly related to Halo 5.”

I’d Say Zero bloom Reach Custom games made for some of my personal favourite multiplayer experiences. Halo 3 is probably the game I would single out as the most all round matchmaking multiplayer experience. I did have issues with how the BR and AR played in that game, and the FOV but that was it really.

Halo CE, because I find it to have an ideal weapon and combat system. Wish the Needler was better though. Only played the MCC and PC version, which I hear has many flaws, so :frowning:

Halo 3 all the way

Halo Reach by a landslide. Halo 3 was great too though.

halo ce, halo 3 ,and halo 5.

I liked halo reach best for the multiplayer and custom games. Also the forge affects the custom games because of different options and maps to forge on. Halo 5 has the most complex forge but it is so complex that most people can’t use it at all or just extremely limited. On reach just about anyone could forge and even if you were bad at it forge world more than made up for it and could stand alone as a great map. The custom games are very imprtant for people in clans and interested in player made minigames therefore multiplayer.

H2. Reach FFA was also good.

for me it’s between halo 3 and halo 5. halo 3 equipment was an amazing edition and I always manage to have the most fun playing halo 3 multiplayer but halo 5 has my favorite game modes, being warzone and super fiesta. plus not to mention halo 5 has with out question the best forge which I think should be considered part of the multiplayer aspect.

Halo 3, the only reason why I can see people may not like Halo 3’s multiplayer might be the net code (obviously), maybe the aiming deadzone too (it kinda feels sticky in a way).
I liked Halo 3 the best. I don’t mind those who trash H3 for what it is lmao.

In retrospect, I would say Halo 2, for how it was during its time of release. However, I personally enjoyed Halo 3’s the most. Invasion from Reach was fantastic to play, though.

2 and Reach

Halo 2 Anniversary. Classic gameplay, playable Elites, modern graphics. Too bad it’s not voted for much on MCC, as Halo 3 beats everything, even tanks.

Halo Reach because of its godly forge.

Halo 5 that added a lot of variety in the gunplay of the game, and Reach that had the best progression system
