Tight sbmm means people will be paired that are closely simular in skill. Loose sbmm generally meaning the opposite, meaning there can be a bigger difference in terms of skill when pairing. So making it very loose would actively mean higher chance of having really really good players against really really bad ones.
Really loose would generally mean more one sided slaughters, while tight would mean fairing fights in terms of player performance.
