More Vehicles are always being removed from halo games than ones are being added (not counting variants of vehicles e.g. Hannibal Scorpion) and I am curious as to what interesting new ideas and previously removed vehicles other Halo fans would like to see in Halo Infinite.

I’m happy to see the Spectre make a return, I like the look & the way how it looked, it’s like a Covie Warthog
All the vehicles that were missing since Halo 3 (with the exception of maybe the Prowler, that felt like a useless addition. Same with The Revenant). Hopefully they can add some of the new vehicles from the Halo Wars games also.
Personally i have a few ideas i would love to see for new and interesting vehicles in Halo Infinite. I have done Covenant/Banished as i am unsure as to what one is officially confirmed or if either was.
Main Air- Covenant/Banished Main air Should stay as the Banshee as it is a vehicle which has been in Halo since Halo Combat Evolved and Has many fans, it is also equally as good at attacking ground units as it is at attacking air units.
For the UNSC Main air i believe they should re-introduce the Hornet as it has been absent from the Main Halo games since Halo 3 and was loved by many and like the Banshee was equally good at combating ground as it was at combating air.
Transport Air- Naturally the Covenant/Banished drivable transport air unit should be the Phantom simply because it has been in Halo for a long time and i consider it more of an equal to the Pelican than the spirit.
The UNSC drivable transport air unit should be the Pelican, its been in Halo since the start and could be used effectively on gamemodes where there is large numbers of people (30vs30 gamemode like in battlefield) or as an interesting vehicle for custom maps.
Turret Gunner Air- This Vehicle i have chosen for the Covenant/Banished is not talked but i thought i will say my idea anyway, The Vampire could be a covenant Falcon where two laser turrets on each side of the ship and it will have the ability to hover just like the Falcon, it will also have its traditional needler gun on the front which will repair the ship 5% a second (a minor health steal to keep it balanced).
The UNSC Turret gunner air vehicle would naturally have to be the Halo Reach Campaign Falcon, this interesting passenger aircraft was only featured in one game and that is a waste of a useful, fun to use vehicle (however the driver controlled grenade launcher will need a nerf).
Main Light Vehicle- The Covenant/Banished light ground vehicle should stay as the Ghost, the fast and mobile alien motorbike that everyone loves (until youve been splattered) and is just an amazing and fun vehicle with many custom games revolving around it e.g. Cat and Mouse.Chopper would be cool too.
The UNSC light ground vehicle should stay as the Mongoose/Gungoose with Variants of both the Halo 2 Anniverary Machine Gun Gungoose and the Halo 5 Grenade Launcher Gungoose. I also have to admit a Jackrabbit in Halo Infinite would also be pretty cool.
Main Ground Vehicle- The Covenant/Banished usually has Elite themed Vehicles e.g. Ghost and Brute themed Vehicles e.g. Chopper and I believe the Revenant should return for the Elite Mainline Ground Vehicle, it is essentially a Ghost with a Nerfed rapid fire Wraith cannon and more armour, its just really fun to use. The Brute themed Vehicles i have chosen are the Prowler which was last seen in Halo 3 and its similar cousin the Marauder from Halo Wars 2, they are just cool fast response passenger vehicles with good weaponry.
The UNSC Mainline ground vehicle should stay as the Warthog, it has been the warthog since Halo Combat Evolved and while a new vehicle would be ok i do not think it would feel the same as the Warthog. Naturally it should keep its variants of Gauss, Rocket and Chaingun however i think that the re-addition of the Troop Warthog and maybe a new variant with small driver controlled frontward machine guns would be cool too.
Anti Aircraft Vehicles- In no Halo FPS has there been any type of true Anti-Aircraft Vehicles other than the Anti-Air Wraith which I believe should return as the Covenant /Banished Anti-Air but 343i could add some type of stationary vehicle for both factions with multiple variants such as a Cobra nudge nudge with a Anti-Infantry variant and a Anti-Vehicle variant.
For the UNSC i believe a Wolverine would make a interesting and new experience to the FPS Halo Vehicle collection with its Anti-Aircraft Missiles and it could come equipt with a passenger mounted machine gun.
Mechs- Grunt Mech, JUST DO IT OK!!! please.
The UNSC should keep the Mantis however give it a damage buff and a sprint mode and keep the T-Bag Feature, Its just an amazing cool Vehicle which other than those two improvements i think can only be made better by allowing people to weld objects to it in forge with selected body parts which are welded too individually.
Mainline Tanks- The Covenant/Banished should keep the Wraith as their mainline tank while switching back to the classic design, i also had an idea inspired by the Halo Legends Duel episode where a wraith has a cannon which shoots bursts of 2 shots at a time with a 1 second interval between each one which i believe could be an interesting variant for the wraith.
The UNSC’s main tank should also stay as the Scorpion for it is also a Classic Vehicle which is loved by many and is efficient at everything it does and i believe Halo Infinite should be the game to re-introduce scorpion passenger seats (i dont have many ideas for variants).
Other Vehicles- In my opinion one of the best things that could come in Halo Infinite’s campaign is getting to drive a Halo Wars 2 Colossus and Destroying everything in sight, it is just a mantis on steroids with a gigantic shoulder mounted cannon.
I also believe that the Grizzly would make a cool addition with two cannons on the front, each one with half the damage that the scorpions cannon does however instead of passenger seats it has a secondary driver controlled weapon which is missile launchers.
Another thing that would be amazing is the return of the Elephants for the UNSC and to counter it a drivable but nerfed Lich for the covenant.

ALL OF THEM, atleast for Forge. But honestly I would love to see the chopper, fast attack vehicle that grinds through warthogs and ghosts
All of them except the gungoose. It does have a purpose but i feel that it was just 343’s way of getting away with making another vehicle. All they did was add a gun to a fourwheeler more or less. If you’re gonna do that why not also do a motorcycle and let him fire whatever weapon he has one handed. be the same concept.
Apart from the standard warthog, ghost, scorpian, etc.

Yes please. I agree with everything, I feel like vehicles really got put aside in halo 5 other than in warzone with like 50 variants of the small amount of vehicles there actually were in the game. The physics of the vehicles were also really off too, I think h5’s mechanics didn’t really compliment vehicular combat. But that’s besides the point, I wanna see halo go back to the halo 3 BTB days with team based vehicles and giant official BTB maps. I think with the vehicles you mentioned, official BTB maps, and a higher player count, we could have one or the best halo sandbox’s yet. Awesome list man
