What upgrades would you like to see in Halo 6?

As seen in the gameplay trailer when that map was pulled up you can see that there was an upgrades tab. Ever since then I’ve been thinking about what upgrades are going to be in the game and how they will be unlocked.

I’m thinking that the upgrades will be unlocked like the Doom Eternals weapon mod system where you find the upgrades around the world as semi-collectibles. Some other ideas I have are maybe there will be a system where you can control outposts and then it could work similarly to halo 5’s req system (without the microtransactions) where at the outposts you can grab weapons. And maybe you could do side missions from NPC’s in the outpost like one where you could go and rescue a squad of ODST’'s or something like that, and with those missions, you could unlock a currency that could be used to unlock upgrades.

As to what upgrades will be in Infinite my predictions for some of them are:

  • Increased grenade/equipment slots - Longer grapple hook range - Carry more ammo - Generic weapon upgrades ( increased accuracy, damage, etc) - Faster equipment/ grapple cooldowns. - Scanner upgrades maybe ( outline enemies in the area, show where things like camo are ) - Night vision - Shield upgrades - Longer throw range for fusion coils, and other throwable objects - Increased radar range - Maybe stuff to call in support from other marines. Like you could call in reinforcements and a UNSC pelican could come and drop down marines and vehicles or stuff like thatI’m not fully expecting all of these to be in Infinite, as a lot of these would break the sandbox. But it would be cool to see these and maybe some other unique creative ones.
    I’m super excited for hopefully more gameplay in June and I hope there could maybe be flights soon too.

One thing I could add to the list is Explosive Ammunition. The upgrade gives you access to 2x DPS assault rifle rounds with limited capacity and availability in the sandbox. These rounds could be used for Hunters and other heavies possibly…

Different ammo types would be so cool! Maybe to balance stronger ammo types they could make it so they are more projectile than hitscan. So like the lighter normal ammo would have very fast projectile speeds that feel like hitscan. But heavier stronger ammos would do more damage but take longer to hit enemy’s. And it would require more skill because you would have to lead your shots.
