The Hornet or Falcon are what I want to see. From the UNSC perspective ground is pretty well covered with the Scorpion being heavy weapons, the Warthog variants as light equip vehicles, the Mongoose for quick scouting, and the Razorback for troop carrying. The UNSC only has a single occupant fighter through and aerial troop transport is something that has been missing for awhile.
Anything added beyond one of those will likely start to overlap with other vehicles in a way that 343 seems to be trying to avoid.
True.
But to be fair, they did screw up the handling of The Mongoose and Warthog from Halo 5 to Halo Infinite. Trying to handbrake a corner? In Halo 5 and other games, the Mongoose had enough weight to drift with minimal chance to start rolling.
Every time I try to drift with the Mongoose, it appears that the wheels are filled with helium, with me tumbling and bouncing while trying to be evasive. And for some reason they reworked the Gungoose with impact grenades rather than bounce-then-boom grenades.
Falcon was first pick because I’ve always wanted to fly the Pelicans in this franchise lol. Falcons were the closest we ever got to that.
Elephant was my second pick due to it’s uniqueness honestly. There’s rumor of an new game mode on the horizon though that revolves around a mobile vehicle being escorted so I wouldn’t be surprised if the Elephant wasn’t the vehicle they choose to use for that game mode.
I never really cared for the rest of the vehicles honestly, or never got to use them since I barely touched Halo 4 and never played 5.
