What type of PVE content do people want?

What type of PVE mode would people most want in Infinite?

Firefight?

Spartan Ops? (Or something like Spartan ops, personally I feel like the voice acting for a lot of Spartan Ops really ruined a lot of the experience btw hoping that Spartan Miller was killed on the Infinity)

Warzone? (Or perhaps a variation of warzone?)

Or a new form of PVE content we have not seen yet? Maybe Halo’s version of operations where we drop in and have to capture ground and move on to take an enemy fortress with a boss at the end?

I just want real Skirmishers back, not cosplaying Jackals.

Yeah I really don’t understand the mentality behind having jackals cosplaying as skirmishers. We even have canonical T’vaoan skirmishers being part of the banished so why do we have to deal with this bs?

Do we have to choose just one? I wouldn’t mind having firefight, warzone, and Spartan ops return to the franchise all together.

Well obviously you can choose all. More content is better but I’m most interested in what is the most liked PvE content

Why not all of the above? Lol

A Classic Firefight experience that features MP Spartans in a Spartan Ops style presentation.

Basically Classic Firefight with scenarios to be blunt.

Well for one I highly doubt 343 would put more than one PVE mode in the game as they would probably not see it as very cost efficient. Second I want to know which type of PVE content most players prefer. I for one while I liked Firefight for the most part I like being able to go on the assault and use vehicles which firefight generally isn’t about. I also prefer to work towards a defined end goal and complete a match where (you can set a cap on firefight) survival game modes tend to be “hold out here as long as you can because well…reasons”. It’s always tough to balance gameplay and logic lol but I would think after holding out in a location for so long you’d either leave the location because the enemy knows you are there or your own forces would send in fire support and extract you. So personally I would probably lean to larger scale Spartan ops style missions this of course assuming the voice acting is done better (may you rot in a Jackals stomach Miller).

I actually enjoyed warzone alot so i would like to see that return

Attracting more players to your game isn’t cost efficient?

The order I would prefer them to be added would be

  • Firefight
  • Warzone
  • Spartan Ops (done correctly)
  • A new PvE mode that is like Spartan Ops but on a large scale

Really hope whenever firefight comes around there will be the flood

I agree with you, but I’m just saying if you look at the gaming industry at current most decisions are made by corporates who’s only interest is profits with the least amount of work out into the game. It’s why nobody innovates and so many games are driven by micro transactions. We might judge a game’s success on how replayable it is, how memorable it is, or how much content there was, but most corporates will judge a game’s success by how much they lined their pockets.

100% you are making sense to me sir, but I can’t say I can think of a game that has released a ton of content post launch or even just had more than one PVE mode. I could be entirely wrong but this is how things appear to me.

I wouldn’t expect that in a game where they do not already have the assets for flood (to my knowledge) and I would kinda hope that to be a simulation and non-canon if that were the case as nobody in universe really has the ability to defeat the flood.

More like what should have been in the game already.

So far from what content has been created. I’m not looking forward to what 343 has to offer knowing how poorly the content they created already.

Fortnite and it is the biggest game out there still

I get that, but it would make sense from a business standpoint to add in all those things. A lot of people only play PvE, so the more options they have, the higher the chance they will play more.
The more they play, the higher the chance that they will buy something

No Man’s Sky, Sea of Thieves, and Destiny 2 all started with not a lott of content and are almost unrecognizable to what they were at launch. Who says they can’t add content we want to Infinite? I see a lot of talk along this lines and I have to disagree with you. I mean how many games in the last 4 years can you name that released with no initial backlash and anger over what wasn’t there at launch? What does being angry about it or convincing yourself it’s too late to fix do for you? (This isn’t meant to be a personal attack or call you out. I merely wish for you to pause and consider things maybe you hadn’t before). All I can say is be patient you never know what’s going to happen. Is season 2 thrilling? No. But what about season 3, 4, 5? It’s still early, a lot can change

FF, SO, and Warzone…
honestly they’re all good ideas that i liked to an extent. and i hope return in a better format
FF simple four player small map, defend till all lives are gone or the generators are gone
spartan ops… mini campaign. infinite lives, but a lot harder with objectives to complete
warzone… BTB FF. 16-32 players against tons more waves of enemies, or regular BTB with UNSC/COVENANT allies

Look at H4 that released as a complete game. How is that and a decade later they released the worst Halo if you can even call this that in Halo’s history.

No man’s Sky came back because they actually listened. Knowing 343 literally is blaming the community for their own deliberate poor actions. Yeah, about your theory, it’s not happening knowing they are creating a cash shop, not an actual game. They even said it themselves using different words.

Destiny 2 was a huge joke knowing Bungie put Luke Smith as a director that literally had no experience at all. The dumbest move any triple A company has ever done in gaming history, but there was still twice as much content vs infinite if not triple the amount. The only reason Destiny has a player base is because of the new light system. Luke Smith almost lost the entire player that Activision literally have to save the game using their studios that actually knew what they were doing.

353 with random people working on this game with no consistency to improve things doesn’t have what it takes, and never will.
