Looks like a normal knight to me.
I think maybe just a standard Knight.

Yep, looks like a regular Knight to me too.

Lancers have those long fins coming off of the abdomen, Battlewagons have the hardlight head fringe, and Commanders have the hardlight fire pattern on their abdomens.
Standard knight.
It is a standard Knight.
Vanilla (bog-standard) Knight.
Battlestationwagons are the Knights with red spikes on their heads, Lancers are the Knights with spikes extending from their rear carapaces, and Commanders are the Knights who seem to be possessed by Ghost Rider. (eg. flames everywhere)
They’re all standard… except for Lancers, which have the most variety.
Lancers are Knights that use teleport more often and are the equivalent of Elite rangers, commonly using precision rifles. LightRifle users have Auto-Sentry while Binary Rifle use Promethean Vision. They have a special zig-zag ability that let’s them close the distance between their target.
Battlewagons are standard Knights that use Scattershots. They have a special jump ability that let’s them close the distance between their target.
Commanders are standard Knights that usually use Incineration Cannons and Auto-Sentry. They have an explosive jump that keeps their target at bay.
I really do hope 343i try harder in Halo 5, making distinctions between enemy ranks is what Bungie failed to do. Diversity… is what makes enemies so engaging.
From the looks of it, it looks like a Standard Promethean Knight. I’ve got one.
I don’t understand, what exactly is a standard Promethean Knight? Do standard Promethean Knights just not fit in any of the three categories; Lancer, Commander, Battlewagon?
Are standard Knights a complete type of Knight on their own? In this case, there would be four categories; Standard Knights, Knight Lancers, Knight Commanders, and Knight Battlewagons.
Yeah there is 4 types. Most knights you fight are standard knights. Commanders only show up on like 2 levels, and battlewagons aren’t much more common.
And you don’t see 90% of knights doing the lancer charger.

Thanks for the clarification. I have a hard time distinguishing the different Knight types during gameplay.

Really? I certainly don’t.
They look quite different to me.
Also, halo CE sangheili were basically same but different colours and shield strength.
The lancers have sensor arrays visually, the battlewagons have the spikes and glow with excess energy as well a more armour and face glows. The commanders are more decorated and they really glow with excess energy.

Thanks. We should head into co-op campaign or Spartan Ops with Jaller some day. It would be fun.
If you kill a standard Knight in Spartan Ops, exactly what Commendation would it go towards?

I believe both Knight and Knight Lancer kills go towards the Knight Slayer commendation.
