I’d say competitive. While I don’t really like MLG because it tends to produce some less-than-nice individuals. But I do get pretty competitive, and try to win, or at least kill as many as I can before falling.
I love MLG (It’s the only thing I play nowadays), but I see no reason to vote for it.
“I’m a MLG player” sounds more like someone that play in tournaments or get payed, and I don’t think that playing in GameBattles is even close to that.
I’m not really bothered what comes from halo 4 multiplayer, I buy the games for their story and feel. You could say i’m casual because i try and play just for fun, but i do tend to dislike dying and tend to prefer getting a lot of kills, but not that bothered about winning.

> Yeah, I like how you can take it easy in some games and play lazy, while still getting the win. Then some games just get serious and you just have to bring out the skills. Other times I just want to take a break from competitive games and play infection, grifball or whatever.

Casual I guess. I mean I play Halo a lot but I don’t always play to win I just like to have fun. Winning doesn’t matter to me. Unless it’s a ranked Halo 3 playlist of course.
Long time halo fan. Got started on halo 1. Played halo 2 and was ranked over 40. Halo 3 ranked over 40 and played halo wars, odst, and reach. I usually play solo so it’s hard to rank up with the current situation. Even if I’m the top player I barely get credits. Really hope the halo 4 XP makes so if you lose but were had over 20 kills you get a good amount of XP since reach if you have 20 kills or more and lose you pretty much get nothing for it.
Also a fan of the novels and comics and anime.
So I guess longtime halo fan= all of the above (campaign and competitive.)
I play to win, but also to have fun. If I get a Double Kill, I’m glad. Not because that’s the highest I usually get, because I get enough Overkills - Killtaculars and so on and so on, but just because I enjoy it I love using the Sniper and the DMR/BR since I usually own with those weapons, and I’ve alway’s loved Halo. From the day it came out to now, I’ve never been disappointed, I even liked Halo 3 ODST! I am a diehard Halo fan
Been there since day 1. Personally care more about canon and campaign related areas of Halo, because I know that every multiplayer since H2 will inevitably be “dissapointing” (as in: not nearly as much fun).
Doesn’t mean I don’t want to win. Just that I like the insanity you get in multiplayer, the chaos where everything can happen…and WILL happen. That part of Halo that allows for such “randomness” in things to happen that makes it so much fun.
Yes, I’d like to win just as much as the next guy…but I could care less for a 1-50 ranking system, or a having a mindset of taking the multiplayer of a videogame too seriously.
