What to expect in July?

I know we are a little ways away from July but I would like to know some expectations from you all as to what to expect in July? I’m hoping for actual game play! A beta would be nice as well.

I’d expect something fleshed out, like gameplay from both the campaign and multiplayer alongside the announcement of flighting/betas for the game. It sounds like Xbox Games Studios is riding on the July event to be the apex of the summer’s game announcements for Xbox, hitting the big AAA games and hitting them out of the park. There are rumors of us of a trailer of sorts during the July event for Halo: Infinite, but if that’s all we see, I think a lot of us are going to be disappointed.

Its been a while since we’ve gotten a new Halo game, and with the expectations fans have for this game, I don’t think 343 can afford to throw another trailer and expect us to be satisfied until November(presumably). Flighting has been a bit of a growing concern as we inch closer to Holiday 2020, so unless 343 has other plans, I’d put my bets on flighting announcements either in June or July. August at latest.

I’m looking at the Xbox 20/20 Event as basically E3.
I think we’ll see some campaign footage for sure. Maybe 10 minutes or so.

Probably a multiplayer trailer with a beta announcement & date. Probably Flight testers will get early dibs to the beta. If I had to guess.

Im looking forward to any form of Halo news at this point. I highly doubt Xbox will want to delay Halo or mess up this event by not showing gameplay. Especially after the backlash from the event earlier this month

Halo: Infinite gameplay and sunburns

I wouldn’t mind seeing a 5-10min ViDoc which lightly covers all the multiplayer components of the game (matchmaking, some maps, split-screen, forge, firefight, etc). Gameplay is pretty much #1 on the list but I also want to know what makes this Halo different and better from prior installments. I’m ok with no campaign details as it’s a much more enjoyable experience going in blind.

Update: Almost forgot, a release date!

For the most part, I honestly expect some decent gameplay footage in July. Maybe some details about the campaign. And maybe a little multiplayer on the side.

I want to see a gameplay from Halo Infinite especially the campaign levels. I have been waiting to see an official gameplay from the new Halo video game.

I want to see proper gameplay, not rendered videos of in game footage representative of gameplay, show me that and I’ll be content. I’m keeping my expectations in check. That way I won’t be disappointed. I do feel they’re going to drop a bomb or two though.

Pretty much what has been said above. I expect a vidoc style announcement with both campaign and multiplayer footage and an announcement for beta/flighting.

It’s the main thing for Microsoft so it’s either the first or last thing they’ll show. Depending on what other surprises they’ve got. I can imagine a Fable 4 being a nice closing announcement for instance instead of new Halo footage. Also 10 minutes as mentioned above is a bit unrealistic I think. And I don’t expect us being able to play a beta that same day… But you never know.

I WANT GAMEPLAY. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT T-BAGGING LOOKS LIKE -Yoink!-! <3

Ah yes a release date! Holiday 2020 gives us such a big gap from Oct-Dec.

It’s gotta be gameplay, for both Campaign and Multiplayer. Maybe a display of Forge. They need to go big.

I’m hoping for:

  1. Story trailer
  2. Demo of a campaign mission
  3. Some MP gameplay
  4. Definite release date
  5. Beta dates
  6. In depth tech demo of the slipspace engine

I realize that is a lot but considering how long we’ve had to wait and how close the release date is, they should give us a lot.

Game play, and hopefully some detailed info on both the progression system and the micro transaction system, I would like to see something about full customization on body armor witch would be nice.

Hoping for Reach like customization or something more updated than it.

Reach had the best that one of the reason I like Reach so much your able to be different and not a clone.

Campaign demo of 7-10 min
Some new multiplayer gamemode, probably big players counts and gigantic battlefields (which were teased)
Beta announcement?

Im actually quite curious as to what would happen if all we got was another trailer? Concern? lol.

At this point I dont know what im hoping for… Im actually more concerned about the reaction of the community rather than the game itself. Im at a point where I know what Id want to see in a halo game is probably not going to be in the game exactly, and now I just have faith that 343 should have a plan to try to get as much as the fanbase as possible under thier banner. With that in mind, I am not as concerned with whats in the game… but im worried the fanbase will think they are either doing their own thing or pandering to “classic” fans… and that seems like thats gonna be the narrative no matter what with the community (and this is not even the entire community, im talking about the most vocal of the community)
So taking that into consideration. I want a vidoc, or a gameplay demo with commentary that addresses both polar perspectives, and tries to bring them together without saying dumb things like “play previous titles if you like classic” or “play other games if you dont like halo”… thats absurd…
Just make sure you include the fact that you tried to strike a balance… and that you arent throwing innnovation out the window… that you are keeping certain mechanics from halo 5 … and that you are building on the foundation halo initially established. Im sure that would please fans all around.

If we get another cinematic trailer I think the community would be in an uproar. With the classic armor we been shown do you think they will go for a more classic gameplay or a modern Halo with spartan charge, ground pound etc. That’s what i’m most curious about.

I still have no idea. Given the design changes of the armor, Id think they at least are toning back the advanced movement. I have no idea how gameplay is going to work out on halo infinite… especially since they are using the slipspace engine… but if its similar or the same as in the discover hope trailer… man will I be shocked (in a good way).

If a new trailer comes and thats it … that would be nice but I think the community wants more… and desperately needs more. Alot of people have to save money for games like halo over time, and they want to know what they are buying. They want gameplay… especially after the previous trailer was rumored to have gameplay and what we got seemed like mostly a cutscene (although I think they are going to end up calling it an in game cinematic).
From what i can tell, it probably wont have spartan charge or ground pound… but thrusters id think is still an option.
