May sound sad, but I have literally nothing to do. I’m a complete introvert and I hate people. I’m bored of all the games I’ve had and don’t want to play the Halo’s because of the MCC. I’m only a teen so there’s not really a lot I can do. I hate school too so that def doesn’t help. Anyone have any ideas? I mostly just lay down watching YouTube videos and/or listening to The Beatles and Wings while watching this one 2 minute Halo 2 Anniversary video in an endless loop. Pretty sad, I know.
EDIT: It’s 40 days because the MCC releases in 40 days exact although technically it’s a lot longer since I’m getting the actual console on the 15th of December so I’m gonna have the game for a while before actually getting to play it which sucks majorly. Just to explain that.
It’s definitely not as good as Halo… but you could give Destiny a try.
The way I looked at it, even if Destiny was a complete bust and I couldn’t stand it, I’m supporting Bungie. I could pay Bungie $1,000 and not feel ‘ripped off’ after all it did for Halo (One of few AAA games I play and favorite series of all time).
You could also play random aspects of the Halo games. Maybe bust out Firefights, Spartan Ops or whatever mode you’re not looking forward to for MCC.
Another good option is Steam games assuming you have a Windows PC. So many great Indie games for (sale price) a buck or two. I’ve played ‘The Binding of Isaac’ for over 300 hours (and for perspective, my second most playtime on Steam is well under 100 hours). I could gift you Isaac if you want to try it out. Let me know.
Also, if you want a TRUE challenge, and this is coming from someone who can beat Contra without dying with his eyes closed (arcade / Indie my thing, unlike shooters, which I’m terrible at) I would HIGHLY recommend Spelunky HD (Steam).
I use Xbox controller but many prefer keyboard. That should keep you busy.
If you’re REALLY bored and want a true time filler, try beat my high score on doodle jump (phone app). It’s 3,475,344. That has passed some SERIOUS time for me, haha.

> Good luck Spartan
I would definitely give my money to Bungie if I could despite not caring for Destiny other then to drive around and look at the pretty sites but I’ll be spending all my savings buying Forza Horizon 2, the MCC and the -Yoink!- console so I have no money left ;(. Good idea on random bits of Halo, I have an idea that I just thought up that could make Firefight really fun. Already have all I want on Steam and have finished Spelunky twice, took me a damn long time. I’ll pass on the Isaac gift as it’s not exactly something that looks like it would interest me but I really appreciate the offer. Wow…I thought I was pretty good getting up to 20, 000 on Doodle Jump…holy mother of…how did you even? Mind = blown
Thanks a heap for the ideas, Firefight may keep me busy for a while Forgot Firefight even existed.
Yeah, Binding of Isaac isn’t for everyone; that’s for sure. And great work on beating Spelunky! That is impressive and most can’t say the same.
With Doodle jump it was just my goto while bored for a couple years. I slowly got better and just kept trying to beat my own score. My high score is back from 2010 I believe, haven’t played in awhile. Maybe I’ll take my own challenge for something to do while I wait (:
Yeah, Firefight is a good option if you like that sort of thing b/c it wont be included in MCC at all. You’ll still have that 100% new / fresh feeling once you pick up the Xbox One and start playing.
I’ve been playing a lot of Reach & ODST for obvious reasons.
When I find it hard to go outside (and I often do) I like to write music. In fact, when I was around 13-14, I upgraded from a bass to an electric guitar (no amplifier yet) and all I listened to was The Clash and The Beatles, and I would just pluck away string by string until I figured out the chords and finally the songs (never took lessons).
That was 15 years ago and now I can usually figure out a song just by listening to it without even needing a guitar with me. I got a little digital mixer, two condenser mics, some software, and I’ve been writing and recording music for ages. I even played in a few bands and I gotta tell you, that guitar becomes a disguise. I have trouble being socially outgoing, but it’s completely different doing something like that. You get to be someone else and it’s great.
Anyway, you mentioned “introverted” and “The Beatles/Wings” so I thought I would share. Maybe you do play music, I don’t know, but it’s helped me out quite a bit. Not suggesting you need help, but it may be a fun outlet to enjoy.
^there’s that awkwardness right there, lol.
Also, Farcry 3 and Assassin’s Creed IV will take up a lot of time, I’m pretty sure at least Farcry is on sale right now.
here’s an idea I’m sure you haven’t thought of, WAIT.
many people have been waiting for far longer than you have I’m sure just to play CE or 2 or even 3 on XBL again with their friends so to go as far as to say that you can’t wait for just 40 days when others have been waiting perhaps for decades is just ludicrous I think.

This man has a point!
I’ve been waiting 20 years to play Combat Evolved over the internet!
Also, how dare you?
And another thing! There are people waiting for lungs and kidneys and hearts! You should be ashamed that you are waiting for things less significant than other things for which other people have to wait! Right? I once waited for the bathroom and complained but didn’t realize that others were probably waiting for food and going hungry! There have been people waiting to pee and eat for fortnights on end!
Point is, the only person who’s allowed to ever complain must be the single person on Earth who officially has it the worst over everyone else.

I did get into playing the piano at one stage, don’t know why I stopped. Maybe I should start practising again. Thanks for the idea. Oh and yeah, about the only having to wait forty days to play a game (or six) while others have to wait for kidneys and such, never thought of it like that. Now I feel bad ;(
Wait…20 years for Halo CE online? Maybe exaggerating abit lol XD

Oh, that was a joke 100%. It’s ridiculous to suggest people should never complain only because others have it worse.
I suffer from migraines, and when people complain about having a “headache”, I don’t get annoyed because even though migraines are 100% worse, they don’t know any better, and headaches still suck. There’s a difference between “empathy” and “sympathy”. A bit of both goes a long way.
Plus, can I not complain about my migraines knowing there are people with epilepsy? See, it just never ends. Complaining makes you feel better.
And he did say people have been waiting “decades” for Halo CE online, so 20 years. lol.

Oh right. Never have been good at reading sarcasm, even in real life but yeah you’re right, complaining does make you feel better haha.
Seriously, starting next week, I have two midterms a week for 3 weeks straight. The good news? The MCC released the week right after my midterms are done
I have almost finished Destiny but I’m currently still trying to get all of the achievments for the Assassin’s Creed games. Almost finished Liberation HD.
