Much much better ally A.I at Legendary.
Mantle ratings.
More environmental space/ forerunner reactive tech to explore and poke a stick at.
Reactive environments. For example, fog rolls in so switch to stealth (crouch) IR mode.
Side missions that actually feedback into main arc. You do not have to complete the mission but get it to a certain level and it might open up areas or and have an environmental impact like generate fog which will/might change gameplay and or tactics.
More Wort Wort Wort and much less English speaking aliens.

More Halo , less CoD.
Halo wars 2’s art style.
Ost resembling the older titles.
Interesting story and end evil cortana’s boring story direction.
Forge and custom games at launch.
Custom game browser.
Firefight thats more like odst’s rather than 5.
Arbiter and blue team shouldnt be ignored,
Cortana should have her halo 4 model again for science.
Credit/xp system like reach.
Make the br the main weapon again rather than the magnum like 5.
Spawnable ai in forge.
Playlists should be available at launch not after a few months.
Pc should have a better maintained launch aswell and if it takes more time to finish the game please delay it. Halo has seen enough disastrous game launches in the past year.

Especially considering that its supposed to be out in less than a year. I would be surprised if it doesn’t get delayed to 2021.
I just want the game to be complete at launch, which a satisfying campaign and addicting multiplayer.
