What things mp related do you not like about Halo 5: Guardians gameplay?
Unlimited Sprint
Weak shields
Plastic looking armor and colored underarmor
Weapons losing their iconic look
Spartan charge move
Ground pound move
Stability move
Spartan chatter
Spartan highfives
No dual-wielding
It felt frustrating for some reason. Can’t elaborate on why exactly, but it seemed too competitive. Breakout was really stressful, but fun.
Flinch
Sprint and its glaringly detriments on map design and controller layouts.
Flashy gimmicks such as slide, charge, and especially ground pound (lol, is this DBZ?).
The rather disorienting smart scope that gives me motion sickness.
The overkill Spartan focus, with 343 thinking that the fanbase only wants to play as spartans, and thinks that sangheili fans don’t exist.
Many technical things, such as low FoV, kill-cams, in-match music, overly hyped announcer, weapon markers, weapon countdowns, match intros/outros, over abundance of medals, poor sound design, cluttering of HUD, etc.
Overall, the Halo 5 MP is better than Halo 4’s, and from a competitive standpoint, better than Reach as well. But it’s irritating gravitation towards irrelevant (and perhaps even detrimental) flare drags it down to some place in between Reach and 4.

Flinch was a glitch so list something else.
“Gets battle gear ready for the war about to happen on this thread”
Didn’t like the default control system and I felt that it could give an advantage to those who just keep holding the trigger at long range. But I really have no proof other than personal experience, so whatevs.
I also think there should be more voices to choose from for Spartan chatter.
I don’t mind the sprint really
The plastic looks of the armor is irritating to me but I can live with it
I don’t like the spartan charge, ground pound, or ledge grapple
I heard you can turn off spartan chatter?
Idk anything about spartan high fives lol
Really wish they brought back dual-wielding but I heard it’s hard to balance
I didn’t like sprint.
Spartans talked WAY too much.
Shields were way too weak.
Spartan Charge was just plain annoying.
The guy on the radio was extraneous.
Power weapon announcements too frequent.
End-game celebration was too much of a brodown.
Overall, I liked the beta. It has room for improvement, though.
I dislike the people -Yoinking!- about it the most.
Sprint

It could do with not being unlimited. It is already countered with slower moving speed while being hit and no shield recharge while sprinting.
Shields are as strong as the previous titles (BR still 4 shot DMR still 5 shot) only some weapons were more powerful in the beta ( some maybe too powerful)
The armor will be textured completely for the full release
Most weapons still looked like the Halo 4 weapons, I for one had no problems for the changes they got. Except for the Rocket Launcher but that one’s being brought back as a legendary.
This one is meant to negate sprinting up to someone and double meleeing them.
It isn’t all that powerful and really relies on the situation you’re in to be effective. Using it in any other situation just gets you killed.
I agree that it kinda got in the way of the button lay-out, but you could turn it off if you wanted to.
Can be turned off in the full game when it releases.
These will either be removed completely or you’ll be able to turn them off.
Agreed
My #1 complaint is the aim assist. It kicked in off target, and functioned like a generic sensitivity drop. This caused the reticle to feel sluggish and heavy, often getting completely stuck. People then in turn over compensate for the stuck reticle, causing ample amounts of over aim. Sense the fundamental core of any FPS is point-and-shoot, this flaw is a major one in my book, and could ruin the whole game. Aim assist should never resist player input, which is what Halo 5’s aim assist was doing. Aim assist should function like a subtle gravity well, gently assisting player input toward a target, and if a sensitivity drop is going to occur, it should only occur when you are on target.
#2 The combination of the BR kick + spread + headshot hitbox size + bullet magnetism = a long rage, 4-shot, center mass, shotgun! Headshots were a dime a dozen, and I was scoring headshots consistently when I should have been missing. You could 4 burst someone across a map while aiming at their stomach. It did not feel right, and lacked that Halo vibe of quality aiming emphasis for headshots.
#3 descope was just awful. zoom-in-and-out-in-and-out-in-and-out. Over and over and over. Visually it makes playing the game look absurd. It felt getting buzzed by flies and constantly trying to swat them away. I just want to effing zoom in, for the love of god stop descoping. Think about how HSC tournaments are going to look so sweet with constant descope-scope-descope-scope… just amazing visual presentation value. Ugh, awful. IMO - one descope should occur upon shield drop. That is it.
#4 non BR start games. I simply will not play Halo unless I get a truly decent starting weapon. I was weened on the CE pistol. I endured the H2 smg start while the community rallied and finally got BR start to become the norm. I suffered the same with H3. By the time I finally got decent starting weapons with Reach & H4, the other elements of game play had become so horribly terrible. If I dont get a BR start, then that pistol needs a serious buff. IMO the starting weapons should be the best potential weapons available, but require the highest degree of skill. Give me a CE style pistol with no aim assist and I will be happy.
Many of my other complaints have already been addressed / fixed / tweaked from the post-beta blog notes 343 sent out.
Overall I think Halo5 shows a lot of potential.
*Sprint(and by extension charge and slide)
*Clamber
*Smart Scope
*Ground Pound
*Inflated maps made to work with the previously mentioned mechanics.
Other smaller gripes include any sort of explosive hitmarker, tacky pre and post game sequences(unless they are intended to mask any loading in which case I don’t really care), constant stream of medals.
Not a whole lot about Halo 5 I liked other than the weapon balance and other different circumstances I would have liked the thruster.

All of this ^^^^^^
I also disliked the general lighting and and overall visuals, felt too muddy and glarish.
It’s a little too fast paced for me. It feels like a crazy house with Spartans jumping and climbing everywhere and you’re being shot from all these different angles.
Also the Spartans won’t shut up. I wish they talked less and had cooler voices.
Everything looked ridiculously shiny.
Poor map design - power weapons should never spawn in easily-camped areas.
Can’t shoot while thrusting.
Sprint.
ADS.
Medal overload.
It reminds me too much like CoD.
Now where is that 343 is incompetent thread?
Eh, personally it was just a couple of annoying things, most of which 343 have addressed. I don’t have any significant qualms.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to hide in a bunker until this is all over.
