What the S2 battlepass should look like

Time for another hopeful thread.
Don’t try to convince me these are useless, they give me hopium when nothing else can; I need them, even if they don’t come true.

The BP should not have filler content at all. We shouldn’t be getting XP boosts or CS swaps, CS swaps should simply be given to you; 2-3 a day or something. And they stack, to a maximum of 50, something like that.

And I think the BP should work more like the MCC BP. That would be a lot more fun and fair imo. The free tiers would be first while the paid tiers would go longer.

(also, I’m assuming crosscore is added by then, but I will also give the core/weapon/vehicle after each item)

Nice work - you’ve put a lot of thought into this.

One thing to consider though - wouldn’t the FTP basically have nothing to earn or unlock quite early (after tier 7) whilst the premium continue to unlock stuff for weeks longer?

Not sure if this would incentivise the FTP to carry on playing. You’d potentially lose a lot of the FTP players until the next season’s battlepass.

This is why you tend to get FTP and premium tracks running in parallel in games.

The need for Challenge Swaps should be purged from the game entirely, along with Challenge Swaps. XP boosters are A-OK, but Challenge Swaps designed around a frustrating system more akin to torture than actual challenges have no place in any game.

If you want the Battlepass to more closely reflect MCC, it should also function how MCC does which is to award players with a “Token Currency” per challenge cleared, which they can then spend in a selection of 10 items before moving onto the next 10 items.

When MCC introduced that system, it had wide praise and acceptance from the playerbase, because while there are still tiers to progress, you can now choose what to unlock first rather than later.

I believe the way to make the Battlepass fair for both paid and free players is to simply have the full selection available to both, but a paying player gets the ability to choose whatever tier they want in addition to having a permanent battlepass XP boost for the season.

Naturally this will give less incentive to buy the battlepass but since 343 lied about “playing to earn” and are regularly putting things in the shop anyway, I don’t believe the battlepass holds as much worth as it would have if everything was truly “play to earn”

Meh, only took a while cause I had to go through and mix up the tiers a bit

The progression would work so FTP would go at a slower rate than the premium.
So like, for every full tier of free rewards, the premium players would be getting 2 tiers

Replace most of the armors, and coatings with xp boosts and challenge swaps and you’ll have the S2 pass
