What the heck happened to the progress bar?

I haven’t posted in a while, but this question has been bugging me since the latest update.
Since Infinity’s Armory, I noticed that underneath the name cards for players in the menu, there is a progress bar indicating how far along you are to the next SR.
I sincerely don’t understand why this exists. Nevermind that SR ranks are completely -Yoinking!- worthless numbers, lacking even the creativity Reach had to use actual military ranks, and have no bearing on the player’s development through the game aside from being a decent indicator as to how long you’ve been playing the game. You can already look at how far along you are to the next level by looking at the carnage reports.

But, hey, guess what? You know what you can’t do? You can’t look at how far along you are to achieving your next playlist rank.
WELL WHY NOT?! Really, why not?
It was in the beta. What was wrong with it then?? It was perfect. After every game, whether I won or lost, I knew exactly where I stood in my ranks, and how my performance pushed me up or down the ladder. I could look that the progress bar, and estimate how many more games I’d need to win to get to the next level. Taking that away just makes the whole ranking system feel tedious and abysmal. I would sincerely like to know what the reason for taking it out was?
It can’t be that it was hard to put the grades into numbers. If the game is able to evaluate my skill level based on play statistics and grade me accordingly, then surely it’s nothing more than numbers. NUMBERS ARE WHAT I WANT TO SEE IN THIS CASE, BECAUSE THESE NUMBERS ACTUALLY MEAN SOMETHING.
So does anyone know why they took it out? Could we get them to put it back in? Did they ever talk about it after the beta? I would really like some answers for this, and I’'m gonna do my best to get one of the devs to give some kind of explanation if no one else can.

But…I like knowing when I’ll be getting my next free REQ pack

Tell us how you really feel

A few T1-T2 weapons, a scout warthog and a common xp boost doesn’t excite me in the least.

I WANT MY -Yoink- PROGRESS BAR BACK!

Hahah see one you’re in the hundreds you get good stuff. I usually gets legendary stuff so I like it. But I do agree about all the ranking bar stuff you said.

It died with the beta. It’s been gone for over a year now. Let it go.
lol jk, I believe the reason why its gone now because it didnt accurately show how ranking works to 343i. Perhaps its not simply a numbers game taht can be translated into a ‘EXP-style bar’

Holy crap… the Beta really was a year ago…
Well i’m still gonna be mad. I once thought that this game just avoided having depth, but now it seems like some parts of it just outright scrapped good systems. It’s annoying.

That’s exact reason why it was added because the only way you could was through the -Yoink!- carnage reports. What if you just logged on or some sort of glitch or disconnection occurred and now there was no carnage report? Well now you can’t see your progress. This fixes that.

You apparently don’t know what the Spartan Hub is.
You can look at your SR at any time, ya goober. Even if you just log in. Just press back… or menu… whatever it is the on the Xbone controller.

But you couldn’t see your progression unless you opened a carnage report and when you turn the Xbox on and go to Halo 5 it’s not going to save the last carnage report from the night before. Hell, the game crashed on me last night and the carnage report from a game of Warzone Assault I just finished disappeared but, this time I had a wonderfully little blue bar under my name to tell me how long until I reach my next level.

I respectfully find this to be minuscule. Just play another 5 minutes worth of swat and see where you rank after.

This is nit-picky, in my opinion. No disrespect.

You people will complain about anything, won’t you… go eat a Snickers.

I’ve been playing Swat all day. Up and down, where I’m ranking isnt the issue. this issue is that I can’t SEE where i’m ranking and how far I am to the next rank.
Sure it’s nit-picky, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a questionable decision. This game keeps data down to almost the very last detail of your gameplay, but it can’t tell me to any degree of specificity where i’m positioned in my rank? Oh wait, it can. The devs just took out the feature. My question is, WHY?

Comments like these are stupid and worthless. Please try to develop an actual thought before posting.

Dunno about you, but I can. I just opened up my game, pressed back, and it had my last carnage report. I remember it doing that before this up date, but maybe there was a limit to how long it would hold the data?

It’s never happened for me so that could be the case.

Well maybe you should post something that doesn’t sound like a child complaining, ever think about that?
